Help T mobile pulse PAYG questions....

 just noticed that I should click on that---thanks ! ( told you I was a bit of a novice at all this new tech stuff !!! )

I feel bad now! I'm a little sarcastic sometimes!

> Can I expand the memory by getting a better SD card than the one supplied?

You can't currently use the SD card for `memory` as such. Android 2.2 is claimed to allow the installation of apps to the SD card, which will free up memory. Currently it can only be used for data (photos, music etc). You can get larger cards. My Desire came with a 4gig card and you can get up to 32gig if you can afford/justify that. Also, the cards come in different `classes` where the higher the card the faster the write speed, although I'm not sure how much real-world difference you're going to see. Once 2.2 is out I'm going to get a larger one although I'll spend the money on size, not speed.

> Which app is good for sat nav ?

Google maps now does that, and it's free and works well. Or you can pay for co-pilot which is apparantly good.

> What is 'rooting' ?

I lied when I said you can't install apps to the SD card. You can, but you have to `root` your phone first. It means to perform a procedure using an sd card or two, which lets you install/run software which you can't usually run, including 'apps2sd'. There's a risk of ruining your phone doing this, and I can't be bothered with it. If you're a beginner at tech stuff I'd give it a miss. Hope this helps.
