This guy has a EVO and is fielding questions & requests...

The specs from Sprint indicate the EVO comes with a 1500 milliamp hours(mAh) battery. For comparison, the standard Palm Pre battery is 1150 mAh. So the EVO has a battery about 23% larger than the Pre, but then the screen (and I assume number of pixels to be illuminated) is about 25% larger on the EVO. So a totally unscientific SWAG might be that if you use the same amount of apps, the same amount of time on an EVO as your Pre, you would get about the same longevity from each charge? I know somebody is going to shoot this down. But I thought I would take a shot at some sort of guesstimate.

this phone uses the same battery as the htc hero and pro2.

faster processor and larger screen , 4g will translate into the same run time or slightly less as that of the pro2. the hero requires less cpu and processing that the pro2 and that is why i base the run time off the pro2..

Yes,, I know.. I have the Hero...
They Hero does last me pretty long time... all day and then some. But the EVO on this same size battery...
unless they did some great feats of engineering in the cpu, screen, memory, radio 4G and 3G...
This battery is going to be very disappointing...

Good thing I have an extra battery for emergencies
