LG Aristo

@darksideofdamoon
That's the street logic, you don't belong to this community this [forcing] way is useful when u are dealing with your street budies not with respectful developers here respecting is the rule that controls the members relations, now let's see how will you (force) me to share my lineage os port.

How can you on one hand mention respect and sharing when on the other you charged for free software? Asking for a donation would have been different, but you flat out charged for it. Like I told your man Odin79, (who btw wished someone would get the files somehow and share them bc that would be SICK!!!) I granted your wish...Don't be a hypocrite now. Like I told you, "Thank you for your time & effort". Let's forget your misaimed street references and keep it Android. Btw... anything other than a Stock based Rom on any LG device sucks sperm whale balls Unless you partnered with LG and they provided you with the magic spell to get their camera drivers up and running on a Lineage or AOSP based ROM, which they haven't So, I'm just fine debloating this stock ROM to my liking...For now

You still can't get it , he does not like your way in sharing others work without their permissions or mentioning who did it although if he does not agree with my way in charging money for it , we are talking about honest,respect and being a man of your word like what i did with you when i dropped the price and refunded you the difference even without you asking for it ;)

Messi2050... I do get it. About giving credit and such. I'm not a developer though. Idc about that. At 1st I was like forget you suckers, I got mine. Pay the $ and get yours. But that's no way to be. And to be honest, you shouldn't have charged for it in the 1st place. You giving me a $2 refund didn't make you charging for it any better. I'm not one to judge, so I paid for it. Now you be honest, would you have released it for free anytime soon had I not posted it this morning? Btw...Everything works just fine. My Aristo runs so much better now. Thanks

Circumstances aside, @messi2050 posted his recovery so thanks for that because it saved a lot of work. The old days of bringing up a recovery in an hour or two are over, short of ports for a nearly identical device. As Android has become more refined and secure, making recoveries to overcome those improvements have proven difficult. I recently spent in excess of 100 hours on a single recovery and still didn't have it working with decryption without collaboration with numerous individuals. Due to the sharing of source, that fix and variations of it have been used on other devices making life easier...we were on the bleeding edge of an evolving problem, but that's the new normal. We're past that and now something else will create a new hurdle.

The point is, this gig is getting harder with each Android release so if you have the means and opportunity, please consider donating to the developers who have much time invested in keeping the dream of root and empowered users alive.

I uh, think I screwed up a bit.:p After successfully flashing TWRP, I wiped data like normal, did a nandroid backup, and then flashed the supersu zip. When I rebooted the system I get a screen that says "Encyption unsuccessful, the password you entered is correct but unfortunately you data is corrupt, etc." On that screen, the option I have is reset the phone. Do I reset or is there something else I need to do?

expected that xD i updated the instructions in the main thread , please check it.

Thanks! I've got a new issue, though. When I try to boot into recovery(manually), I see TWRP briefly before it says executing recovery script, then it boots into the system and I'm back at the "Encryption unsuccessful" screen.

As

Excuse me for not being selfish. I didn't charge for software which is open sourced and refuse to release it for free. Messi2050 did that. I didn't even think Messi2050 was wrong for charging for the files, which she put her time and effort into. I did what adults do and paid for what I wanted. Did you? Lol I didn't think so... The backlash she received is why I decided to post the files. I knew she wasn't going to change her mind about posting her work for free when grown a$$ men were here on the forum crying, bellyaching and making threats to report her. As far as wanting credit, I couldn't fcukin' care less. I'm not a developer bro. I'm just a guy who likes to mess around with my phone. Remember, Messi2050 posted the files bc I forced her hand. Take Care, buddy

It's hilarious how I did just what you mentioned in this post and you had an issue with it, but I digress young man...

Dont get mad because your post was poorly organized.. Dont misconstrue my post, (like it to this forum) im for the free world of course but i would at least expect an author, or the poster to be the author. you gave no mention of messi until after the other forum was created and messi literally said i wont let you steal my work. Has nothing to do with messi being selfish or me being an adult...I dont want to argue, i can understand you being mad for me pointing these things out. Im 27, im indian and irish so i look really young, i weigh 135 and bench 225... Mma you name it, want my fb page lol ???? theres literally nothing you could say or do..whats done is done. Have a good day yo.

Hmm, just tried it and it didn't work. Man, I wish I wasn't so eager before to try root it before understood all the instructions. Oh well. I guess I'm looking at having to reflash the stock firmware?
first try to only flash the stock recovery/boot images and see if the system canboot successfully
