I would have to say my favorite part of the new update is I am able to edit words in my user dictionary. I hated in 1.5 if you typed something in wrong you were out of luck.

im really feeling 1.5 right about now. got the ota earlier, had about 80% battery left after i was done dicking around with it, went to sleep for 5 hrs, woke up to goto work and my battery was at 44%!!!!! WTF!? that and the weather app force closing sense is pissing me off. i actually have a few more complaints about 2.1 on the eris, htc shouldve made a power control widget that included the mobile networking on it and amazons bonk ass mp3 store ALWAYS seems to reopen every 2 mins.

id have to say my favorite parts are the better looking market and navigation, WOW navigation is a damn beast! responsiveness seems smoother on 2.1.

what do you mean you fixed it? i see the nifty animations everytime i turn my screen on, but i cant get into the weather app itself, if i open weather from the widget or the app drawer it just force closes sense on me. i can sync the weather and then it updates the widget though. weather app is in my top 5 apps used most daily, so this kind of bums me out

Go to Main Menu > Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Find the weather app. Click on it. Clear the data. This will reset the settings so it should work.

I'm really looking forward to that as well. I'm a bit on the OCD side and it drives me crazy when it adds typos to the dictionary! I've reset it several times but that gets rid of the ones you intended to have their as well.

I'm also excited about Google Navigator.

I'd have to say the addition of navigation and as you've already mentioned, the ability to edit user dictionary. Haven't used the navigation yet, but I have high hopes for it. Also, I couldn't be happier that they've finally added timestamps to the messages that are older than the current day! That simple change was a huge improvement for me.
