Help This Cloud "add storage" popup is driving me nuts.

For a long time about once a week, I'd get a popup that takes over my phone saying "Unable to back up, add storage". I didn't mind that too much, but now it comes on every day a lot. How do I get rid of this? I don't use cloud and never will. I don't see where in settings? I hate things like this that take over my phone.
This is why I have a media storage card in my phone, for stuff like this.

Oh yeah! I also hate seeing the add that shows up inside my post here too. I may end up not coming here anymore because of that too. Ads EVERYWHERE anymore!!!

I had something like that happen to me. I factory reset and reinstalled everything except the last 3 apps. I may have been overly cautious but it worked.

HTH
Hope I don't have to do that!!! That is a lot of work and wasted time. I'm hoping there is something in settings to fix this. It has to do with backups.

Which OS are you on? Go into the Cloud and Accounts settings for Samsung Cloud n disable all? On Nougat there are 2 levels of settings. one for data to sync and another for backup settings.
I'm on Android Version 6.0.1
Where do I find this Cloud and Account settings? Don't see them in Settings, so which catagory do I click to look? For now I turned off backup. I want to back up data to my card.

This is a screenshot of first popup that happened maybe once a week for past 2 months

And because I ignored that, this is the one that now comes on several times a day and takes up more space... really p*sses me off.

Remind me in 7 days... what a bunch of BULL!!!

That backup reminder looks like something from your carrier to me. Where does it take you if you click on "add" or "get more storage"?
Here is screenshot of that. Cheap enough, but I don't want to do it because I don't like the way they took over my phone. So unless I find out how to put backup on data, and not get this popup anymore, I turned off all backups.

You stated you never use online cloud storage, but that's saying you've used 5GB, and now it's apparently full. So presumably it does have an option to delete or retrieve whatever is stored there, and turn the thing off, stop it syncing and uploading.

I suppose this is from your carrier, or some other third-party and not Samsung? BTW who's the girl, “Miss Verizon" or something?

I am looking at this right now:

That girl is not Miss Verizon, but my lovely wife... the Facebook app to communicate with her while she is at work.

Notes:

  • Messages and call logs on the device are backed up but are not viewable on the Cloud website.
  • Ensure your Verizon Cloud app is up to date as the following steps apply to the most recent version.
  1. From the home screen, tap the Apps icon.
  2. Tap the Verizon Cloud icon

    .
  3. Tap the Navigation Menu icon (located in the in the upper-left).
  4. Tap Settings
  5. How to Disable
So hopefully this fixes the problem!
