Does anyone know of any proper accessories being made available for the Legend?

There's lots of generic chargers, mSD cards and padded wallets out there, but they're all pretty useless / generic items made for other handsets

I'm guessing they're still being planned / produced?

Dock or cradle to mount/charge the Legend
There's loads for the Hero, I was thinking of getting one of these and hoping it would be compatible, but I think the base of the phone is a slightly different shape so it may not fit

Cases / Covers
Ideally a silicon case to pad out the body of the phone but still allow access to the screen, buttons etc. Some sites currently listing cases but they're more the fully enclosing, annoying variety

In my opinion this is an area that all competing handsets are going to struggle since Android and other platforms are being spread over a number of different manufacturers therefore watering down profit margins on accessories! Apple handsets have a huge array of accessories and huge uptake since there is only ever one or two current handsets and huge customer base. I have to admit that some of the accessories for Iphone really are of impressive style and quality and I hope to see these equally desireable accessories for my new Legend!

Found a few accessories finally, eBayer from Hong Kong has silicone cases and screen protectors to fit the Legend (HTC have offical screen protectors out now, but they're way overpriced).

Looks nice, but I don't like the ones where you don't have instant access to the screen/buttons, hence I'm biased towards the silicone rubber ones with that are open on the front

If you are just wanting protection from scratches rather than possible drops, then look at InvisibleShield. I'm waiting for it to become widely available in the UK without daft postage delays.

They do 3 types. Firstly the basic screen protector, then a 'full body' which is basically the same but one for front and one back. Finally they do a 'maximum protection' which has specific cutouts etc to basically wrap around your whole phone. I've been looking for the maximum protection one but can't find it listed for the Legend yet

Not sure where you are in the world but Carphone Warehouse (in the UK) do them for buy one, get one half price so as soon as they list one for the Legend, i will order one for myself and one for my old man (blackberry, pffft!)

I got a couple of cheaper ones like the one above from ebay when I first got the phone. They done the job but became quite loose after a few days use.

@Cosmo Kramer, you have me worrying a bit about the silicon skins now.. I thought they would stay on the phone for a few months without a problem. Ideally, the ones mentioned by @flynnduism are what I am looking for to prevent against falls when the phone is not in my pocket (so, either when its in use or when I am just about to slot it in my jacket)!! ...

Hmm. *Back to the drawing board?! .. There must be some good silicon cases out there.. A hard plastic even anyone??

In Ireland, ordered it from Hong Kong... very slow alright but I don't mind waiting so much, would probably cost a lot more to buy one in Europe

Ok guys I received my clear well slightly opaque silicone skin and I am very happy with it. I would say it is the best solution if you wish to retain the phones good looks the case fits very well may of prefered it to be just slightly tighter! I have noticed it collects all the tiny fibres from my pocket and I'm aware that a grain of sand getting in there and continuously rubbing could cause damage but definitely the lesser of two evils! This is the 2nd one I ordered couldn't wait for the one from China and ordered same one from Amazon for a similar price and it arrived in days!

Regarding the case, I'm looking at that clear one or the black one on Amazon.

I will either do both as that link suggests or go with the clear/black case and this protector - HTC LEGEND SCREEN PROTECTOR PART OF THE QUBITS: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo . It has a few pretty good reviews. I'll let you know how it goes when I get it.

Yeah very good - nice thick quality but no change to responsive nature of screen! Was a bit fiddly and I think it could do with a bit more of a sticky nature - however once it was there, it stayed there!

My duplicate purchase opaque skin same as one from Amazon arrived today all the way from China this one was purchased with screen protection! The screen protector is ok! Sensitivity doesn't seem impaired in any way though there's a slightest of blur which I can live with I don't like the cut out for the light sensor just wondering how necessary the cut out is as it wasn't on some others I looked at! Fingers don't glide aswell as they did on the glass though its worth it to keep this beauty free from scratches and the like.

I saw this and mulled over it at length, but decided not to buy it because of how big it would have my pocket. I've used Krusell cases for other devices before and I would admit, they are really good quality. If my silicon case flops, I'll definitely resort to this "monster". ;-)
