Help Help - flan gallery

Ok you guys, i installed flan gallery and ended up uninstalling cause it was running weird on my phone. Now since installing it every time i open my app drawer after my phone has been asleep it reloads all the icons which takes like 5 or 6 seconds. once loaded it is fine, but then after it goes to sleep same thing the first time i open the apps. any ideas for me?

i am running stock 2.1

Well after rebooting about 5 times in a row it is working ok now. Weird.

What was wrong with (froyo - not flan =P) gallery?

Had lines all over the pictures and it was laggy.

I had problems with the flan gallery also. It was choppy. I tried to uninstall the original gallery but Titanium Backup is unable to remove that app. So I ended up uninstalling the flan gallery. I here of people getting it to work with no problems by uninstalling the original gallery and clearing the cache but I'm not sure how to do either.

if you have root just download root explorer and remove it that way.

Root Explorer is a paid app. I don't want to pay for an app that i will only use once. If anybody knows a free way of removing it please let me know.

You can download a custom config that has the new gallery and removes the old one. Boot into recovery 3.0.8 and load the zip file from the sd card.

You can always use adb shell

I found a freeware to remove the stock apps on the Moment here. It worked great on removing the gallery.* files.
