Help Transfer settings, apps, from one Inc to another?

I'm returning my original HTC Inc because it has a defect. Verizon is supposed to send me another. I'll have both in my hands for a short time.

I'd like to transfer my settings and those apps and programs I added to the original phone to the new phone.

Is this possible? If so, is there a step-by-step primer for doing this?

it all should restore after signing in with the same google account you used on the first phone. As long as you had the backup my settings box checked.

Try www.appbrain.com just make a wish list of all the apps you want and then they will sync to your phone. It would probably be a last resort for what you want to do but I figured its worth the input.

All Programs > Settings > Accounts & Sync -> Backup Assistant
