Syncing contact list and facebook contacts

I dont know why, but my zte zmax pro will not allow me to sync the contacts in my phone with my facebook contacts.. it is a little frustrating because usually this is an easy fix. I tried settings-accounts-facebook-sync now.. and I also tried going into the facebook app.. as a last resort, I tried to reinstall the facebook app and that did nothing.. please help!!

I think so.. I dont see anything that says otherwise.. buy maybe I am looking in the wrong spot..

It does not even give me the "permissions" option..
