The battery draining issue, the messaging old looking crap the screen touch that sometimes acts up the UI need to be refreshed make it more refining more classic and the IP image that needs to be updates the video recorder at night it's kinda blur please fix that specially the battery we long for another update the 4LTE isn't sure to be reached here in Haiti with Zmax pro I only get 3G I wish I'd get the 4G LTE I really love the phone but it has some bugs that needs to be fixed the most important is the battery draining and the connection range to bring it to 4G a secure one with some feature along to it

The multi-touch issue under moderate to high load.

Can't even browse youtube without the whole screen locking up until I physically turn the phone off and back on again or just wait it out.

Edit: Also the random pause bug. I think it only happens when you have Dolby Audio on, but the speakers are so low without it on, so I have to leave it on.

So hello everyone I would like to bring up a topic about a well awaited root for the zte zmax pro but since the March 1 patch update it has become nearly impossible to find an exploit for this new firmware but we already have a super su binary already in beta 1 it's been out for a while but we as a community need to help them with beta testing but we need a custom recovery in order to flash the binary. (as soon as I find the link I will comment the link )

I'll take a bite at the fake wax/plastic apple being dangle here...

1st - A lot of us are on the original B08 FW. Some on B14 & some unlucky ones on B20. So not everybody have been unlucky to need to update or we've had the patience to stick with older FW that is more vulnerable to modding.

2nd - TWRP v3 recovery was compiled for this phone back in October of last year.

But there hasn't been a way to test it since there is no way to get past the funny semi root + encryption that ZTE put into the Z981.

This is where you should comment the link & any info you have. The guyz that can verify your groups root method are Messi2050 , SapphireEx, Loonycgb2 & a few others. We will not be beta testing anything until they clear/confirm the process. Once they do you will probably have hundreds willing to beta test at different FW versions.

If it is correct that your group have found a way to root this device. I bet Messi2050 , SapphireEx, Loonycgb2 & others can help with the last mile.

I don't know how Wi-Fi Calling is working for y'all, but it doesn't work for me once I connect to another network; I have to restart the phone for it to work again. So, that's a bug I'd love to see fixed.

BTW, this is for T-Mobile, I don't know much about MetroPCS, but I assume they have similar tech?

I think when ZTE releases their next major phone, it will be very easy to upgrade if you're on TMO or MetroPCS. I recall that some people got their ZMAX PRO for under $50 when taking advantage of offers and such.

The phone has always worked really well for me, with the exception of a few small issues that were either caused by or solved by updates.

I would like to see root if only for overclocking abilities and a few other tweaks, but it's fine without root. I can totally understand why the people who like to tinker are ticked off that they can't gain access. That would be like owning a hotrod automobile and not being able to open the hood to gain access to the engine.

But, I'm happy to use the phone for a year or two and then upgrade for $50-$99 to a newer model. I just hope the newer model has all the features I'd like to see added. The phone needs NFC and could benefit from a better camera (I'd rather have a dual lens camera than a fingerprint sensor, but that's just my preference). Better loudspeaker also.
