Dolby sound, how can I get it back installed.

What's up, I'm currently running synthetic OS with the v3 kernel. I don't like nor can I get viper audio to install the driver or work. I actually really liked the Dolby app etc the came in the phone originally. Does anyone know where I can get it. Hopefully in a flashable zip to regain it again. I tried Xtreme and it killed my modem. Couldn't hear or be heard in calls. I had to restore before I flashed Xtreme and it was all good again. Also on a side note. What app will tell me exactly what modem I'm running. I'm hoping synthetic OS has the B15 modem for band 12. Thanks guys.

The Dolby feature is baked into the original ZTE ROM. It just can't legally be included into whatever custom ROMs, less the devs incur the wrath of Dolby Labs' powerful legal department and attorneys.

No doubt ZTE pays Dolby Labs lots of $$$$ for the privilege of Dolby Sound on their device. Dolby Labs has always made their money from licensing their products, and keeping very tight controls on their IP.

Just to clarify, I'll use device controller app to uninstall viper, flash dap modular, then flash dap APK. That's how I'm gonna try it.

Ok having a issue. I tried to flash the modular via recovery got an invalid zip format error. So i didn't have magisk installed. I do have a recovery zip of v12. Flashed it after backup. Rebooted tried to run magisk and was prompted that it was in play store. Had no option to ignore. Took me in to the play store. Said It wasn't available. Hit back ND brought straight back to home. Ran magisk again to same result. Prior to backup I went into root explorer and renamed viper to .BK to uninstall so I could easily revert if problem arises. I don't know how to get around the play store prompt to install dap modular. Do I have the wrong version of magisk for 5.1.1?

Crap, the magisk zip removed su and root.

Edit...I got magisk working and root back. The zip doesn't install the manager.

Edit 2.... magisk is saying the modular isn't a magisk modular. Tried redownload the files. Same result. ???? Help? I'm new to magisk. Just tried it out last week in lineage os 14 when I was looking for new roms.

Takes a lil finessing using magisk on draconis. Had to run the reboot disemmcwp command within terminal to get some shit root/su granted. Still didnt wanna install busybox for me either. Im a SuperSU fan anyway jus wanted to check Magisk out to see what it was about. Its ok but I prob wont use Magisk much in any ROMs myself. But ya flashable dolby zips rock. big diff between dolby and v4a/arise in my opinion. V4Arise is a really nice lookin "hookup" tho! just doesnt crank the vol up like dolby. DevilsChild put me up on dolby zips couple years back and I been flashin dolby eversince! good look DC! they do however have a few different V4Arise & Dolby zip combo "hookups." Zips contain dolby & viper apk combonations to play around with. I myself just use one of my dolby zips in my ROMs dolby is quite knowticable in its boosting of sound capabilitys.. V4A has nice quality sound enhancement/tweak hookup but in the end dolby has louder output. you can mod the xml mixer path and crank the vol on up with a txt editor like in Root browser etc. but BE CAREFULL!... could blow ur speaker out yo! But ya Im a dolby guy myself and I choose good ol SuperSU zips over magisk ALL-DAY! But Im still checkin Magisk out here & there. Jus gotta "finess" shit a bit on the ol ZMax due to system write protection even tho (reboot disemmcwp) command Hroark so kindly blessed us draconis owners with in-wich removes write protection hooks us up instead of those damn switcher zips we had to use. No offense Masterchief! good job with ur work in those zips Masterchief87! helped us all out ALOT with those! tho I never had/have to use em as I jus picked this device up & read about and use/used the disemmcwp command Hroark figured out for us THANK GOD!!!! mo offense MasterChief! I know you feel me tho! ANNNNNNYYYY-who!!!! Ya.... Dolby zips are bangin!!! meanwhile V4A looks nice and features nice sound quality enhancment buuuuut jus doesnt push the sound on up and out like Dolby.
