Please can someone help me out here!, I have a Samsung Mega 6.3 GT-I9205 I cannot access recovery mode or even flash anything through Odin. Odin gets stuck at initialisation.

After unplugging my phone from the laptop Odin shows Fail at the top that’s because i removed the phone, Here are the screenshots, two of my phone in Odin Mode and one with Odin Software,
can anyone make anything of it, i noticed in the Odin message it say's something about a PIT file, any info on that please.

Hello!
Where are you getting the firmware file from?

Sammobile.com is a reputable place to get firmware files to flash via ODIN... ;)

Thanks for your reply.
I am using Sammobile for the firmware but it won't get passed initialising in Odin, i can't figure it out, it's never been rooted.

Not too sure if it's hard bricked or soft bricked or just dead lol, the other day i went to google something as it was on charge and the screen didn't light up when i pushed the home button so i just hit the power button and it vibrated, done its bit and then came up it was installing firmware so i left it for an hour or so.

When i looked it was on but no icons nothing just a dull backlight,
It won't let me go into recovery mode i can only get into download mode which is ok because i can just use Odin.
With Odin it connects but just gets to the initialisation in the Odin Message box and then just sits there.
With Kies it just won't connect, iv'e downloaded the drivers for it.

Could be a cable, it could be a USB port. It could be antivirus software on your PC.

Alot of things can cause that issue. I had a guy the other day... Same issue, a regular client. So i told him to install kies and kies 3 and boom it worked.

Some people say uninstall kies and kies 3, me well I've had to uninstall them one time in a few thousand times.

With only download mode accessible, you can only connect to Kies if you use the Software Update and Initialization option under Tools.
After you enter your model number and SN, Kies will download the correct firmware, then you connect the phone with the USB cable.
Have a look at this guide

You need to search for a PIT file for your version,I think yours is an 8GB? Make sure you get the right one. It's the difference between work and brick. Find and dl the stock firmware for your model. Search and dl Odin 1.85. Later versions take out the PIT field. Load up your firmware as usual, put the PIT file in the PIT field, CHECK RE-PARTITION box. Hit start and get your heart out of your throat. If everything goes well, your i9205 will reboot (if checked) and all will be good. If it fails, I don't really know because it worked on mine. I am just sharing my experience. If you don't feel comfortable with the process, don't do it. It could turn into a giant beanstalk!

Don't know if it makes a difference, but I had the full firmware of my i9200. you might want to find that.
