Hi I have s7 edge. My phone is currently powered and switched off. It should according to my network say currently unavailable try later. However despite being switched off the phone is still ringing, rings about 6 times says sorry no reply. So to anyone ringing it looks like my phone is switched on as it rings.

Anyone any ideas why it would ring still when off?

Make sure your phone is backed up and then factory reset it that might fix it

@Snakeyeskm i assure you it is off. The weird thing is when tried ring it from someone mobile it said unavailable. But when tried from landline rings rings then says sorry no reply. So i don't understand why for some it rings and others you can tell switched off.

I did think about reset but want avoid that if possible

Sorry I didn't understand. Are you talking about the rings you hear from the phone that is being used to call your phone? If that's the case, everything is normal. Land lines will create the ring sound when calling a shut down mobile phone till they fail to connect, at that point they wiil give you the message sorry no reply. Mobile phones generally know immediately if the line is available or not.
Don't reset.

good point i thought the phone was connecting even though the phone was off for example you unplug a tv and it stays on.

Yeah thanks i never knew that. My friend rang from her landline and said unavailable yet my landline rang as though mh mobile was switched on.

Had no idea landlines had trouble detecting phone is off.

Thanks was beginning think it was haunted
