Any way to update my android version?

Yesterday I had to do a hard reset, my phone was rooted before. My android version is KitKat 4.4.2 and there should be an update to either Lollipop or Marshmallow. But if I go to my settings and hit "update now" NOTHING happens. The field isn't grey or something else - still nothing happens. Now comes my problem: My USB port is broken for over 1 year, so I can't upgrade my phone via PC by e.g. Kies or flashing a firmware. I won't repair my USB port because I won't have this phone in a few months. Back in time when Lollipop came out I upgraded it to Lollipop, but due problems with incompatibly of Xposed modules I had to downgrade my phone again. Now I don't see any way to update my phone. My only idea is to connect my phone with a software like Kies which can transfer files if PC and phone are connected in the same network. Is there a software like this out there or do you have a better idea? Maybe how to fix the "update now" button or any other way to trigger an update from my phone.

Is it still rooted now? If yes, do you have a custom recovery?

Nope and nope.

If you are 100% stock and can find the captured OTA update zip files, you can download them and install them from the stock recovery using the Apply Update from external source option.
What model S5 do you have?

The 900F will be a lot harder to find the OTA update zip files for because of the different CSC codes. Might have to scratch this idea.
I'll keep thinking but without a working USB port, not many options.
