I have a problem

I just got a Samsung galaxy S6...and i'm pretty sure it isn't a clone...it functionins almost perfectly

The problem is...whe i access the download mode...my system status and cureent Binary are all 'CUSTOM'...whic makes me think a Custom ROM is installed on the phone
Apps like root checker and es explorer clearly tell me my phone isn't rooted
The thing is i can't access software update and i receive an error messge when i try to use smart view on my tv...and i'm prety sure this would be solved if my status and curent Binary said 'OFFICIAL'
I really need help...I don't have a laptop so it would be cool if i could solve this without having to root my phone
Could someone help me make those status official ?
Thanks

HI Okalla-

So we can better serve, can you send me some information that's found under 'about phone' in system settings?

What we need here, is the build number and version OS.

I can take it from there and get you a definitive answer.

I've included a screenshot of an old custom build for reference.

Hmm.. checked a couple of resources and have included a couple of links to confirm for yourself, but it looks like you are NOW running stock.

However, since you are seeing the 'custom' message on boot, it is possible that at one time the phone had been rooted, then flashed back to stock without clearing the custom flag. -- pretty common

Can you describe in detail the error msg you're seeing?

Thanks a lot for thz links on the updates...but i really want to remove those custom flags as you say...like i said i can't smart view with my tv and i'm sure that's the reason

Can you help me for this?
I sure can. Depending on how much skin in the game you're willing to put into the effort, we can have the S6 up and running as it was when it left the factory.

Okay...what am i meant to do

Let's make things little more clearer for you. Now custom ROMs are cool to use sometimes but might trouble you if you did not read what the developer said. A custom ROM changes the part of your system that you know about entirely and may or may not be rooted. Samsung does not like it's users to do any changes to their software so it won't let you update after your device is rooted. Your device might not update also because updating a Custom ROM by a stock ROM might create problems because they are differently coded.
First tell us about your model number.

I've already given the build number

The model is SM-G920T
Check this
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s6/SM-G920T/
And do this
 • Extract (unzip) the firmware file
 • Download Odin v3.12.7
 • Extract Odin ZIP file
 • Open Odin v3.12.7
 • Reboot Phone in Download Mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons)
 • Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
 • Add the firmware file to AP / PDA
 • Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked
 • Click the start button, sit back and wait few minutes

Do i connect the phonz to the pc before or after going into download mode

Leon marcon
First connect and then enter download mode. If that doesn't work then enter download mode first then connect the phone.
Improper connection with the PC can be shown with an error but if you disturb the connection while flashing you might get into trouble. For reference you could see a few videos on the net by searching for "Flash stock ROM Samsung Galaxy S6" or any phrase similar to that.
