WiFi cutting out

I really hate to say this but have you tried restarting your modem and rebooting your phones? Sometimes settings just get cached or something glitches and a reboot fixes it. Stating the obvious but I sometimes overlook this too.

You could also try changing your WiFi channel using the following steps:
  1. Connect to your WiFi network and access 10.0.0.1 from a web browser.
  2. Navigate to Gateway > Connection > Wi-Fi, where you will see your private WiFi network name(s) displayed. If you would like to update your WiFi channel, click EDIT.

  3. Mark the Manual radio button for the Channel Selection field, and choose your desired channel number in the Channel field.

  4. To complete the change, click Save Settings at the bottom of the page.
Often times too many neighbors are connected to the same channel and it clogs things up which could be the root of your problems.

Lastly, how far are you from your router? It's possible that a WiFi extender such as Google Home would do the trick.

Have you tried connecting to other WiFi networks (at work or a public WiFi network like at a local library) and it's still a problem or just with your home network?
Also, has this problem been happening for a long time or just recently? Since it's affecting both phones, do you have any other mobile devices like a laptop or tablet also connected to your home WiFi? If so are they also having a problem or is it just the two phones?

Try going into Settings >> Wi-Fi and delete (Android uses the term 'Forget') your home WiFi entry on one of your phones and then try to add it back in.
If that doesn't work out, try installing this 'RouterCheck' app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.Sericon.RouterCheck.client.android&hl=en
It will check your router settings, mostly for security issues, but in each topic there's some really good, extensive documentation with basic definitions, and possible fixes for problems. If you're not really comfortable delving into your wireless router options this is a really good app to guide you along. Anyway, the default settings in your Comcast modem/router might require some tweaking to work better with your phones.
You might also want to install this Netalyzer app, it will run a thorough analysis on your home network:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=edu.berkeley.icsi.netalyzr.android&hl=en
This app won't focus so much on your router but more on performance issues with your home network connectivity.
Of course maybe all this doesn't even matter. Have you contacted Comcast? There could be something on their end. Using a web browser try going here to run a bandwidth test on your connectivity:
https://speedof.me/
The download and upload speeds should be close to the values stated in your Comcast plan level, but also pay attention to the latency number. (higher numbers for the speed are better, but a lower number for latency).

Don't think it's the WiFi because everything else works fine, really think it's the phones themselves.

I'm inclined to think it's the phones..since they are just a week old..it wouldn't hurt you all to practice a master format reset in the two of them..I'm guessing they are brand new but even that sometimes they all come already set up or started up..it's just my suggestion..some times a master reset has served me in the past to fix an uncomfortable glitch also related to the Wi-Fi on the actual phone..you can even start with just one try to do two resets in one..if that doesn't work try to return those phones..

Let me know.
