Hi,
I have
LT M5 Lite
I have an ADSL subscription.
I have WiFi router to which I can connect wirelessly using my Android cellphone.
I wanted to create a vpn profile on it.
While creating a vpn profile, I have tried to type the "network name/ SSID" in "the name" field and in the "server address" field I typed "192.168.88.1" which is IP address of my router. (screen shot below)

However, when connecting to the vpn, I was asked to type in "user name" and "password". (Screen shot below).

I don't know what I can type in those fields. I am connected to POEPP, and this screen shot below shows my WiFi router configuration.

From that last router screen-shot I would assume the user-name is "457849", and the asterisked obfuscated password is something you can set in the PPPoE server setup. Both of which you should enter into the phone's VPN setting, in your second screen-shot.

Thanks a lot,
Have you seen all three photos of mine?
The first one is the only one shown to me while creating the vpn. It has two fields, "name" and "server address".
I typed in the "name" field, "MikroTik-BCE3DB" which is my network name in my router configiration, and in the server address, I typed "192.168.88.1", which is the IP address I type in any browsers bar address to log in my router configurations.
As a result,
Do you think that name is the network name/SSID and server address is the 192.168.88.1. Or do you think that server address is the country or region my IP address is in.
However, there are no "user name" and "password" configuration. And there is no PPPoE configuration while setting up the vpn profile. The second screen shot for asking about "user name" and "password" was only popped up to me once I clicked on the vpn created.

I tried to type "457849" in the user name and the "457849" as the password. Since I am using the password and user name of my PPPoE as the same one. However, I was faced with "unsuccessful".

Moreovet, while creating vpn profile, I clicked on advance settings, and this screenshot shown to me. But there are no user name and PW configuration.

FWIW I use a VPN all the time, on Android phone, tablet and Macbook, because I'm in the PRC. But the one I use, ExpressVPN, I just install the app, enter my username and password, select remote server location, it connects and that's it. But I've got no real idea about manually configuring VPN servers and clients though.

Thanks a lot, Mikedt
I have High-Speed VBN app, but it is a country-limited app.
Also, I want to setup the VBN on my cellphone, where there is an option of creating VBN profile.
While creating a vpn profile, I have tried to type the "network name/ SSID" in "the name" field, and "192.168.88.1" in the server address. But, it was unsuccessful.

So, where is the wrong?
What is the server address. I have an ADSL subscription. I set my router with PPPOE user name and password.

For information, this is all the manual VPN setting detail I have on my Oppo phone. And I don't see anything at all for this "PPPOE" stuff, so I don't really know what that's all about. I never changed anything in here, and just use the app my VPN provider gives, and is active.

There's PPP encryption, MPPE, PPTP, etc.
Thanks a lot,
Now you understood that I want to set up a VPN on my cell phone, and don't want to use a VPN app.
I really miss the key of the way of setting up a VPN on a cellphone.
What is the PPTP under which a "server address" field is required to be filled in while adding a VPN?
What do you type in the "name" and in "server address" fields appearing to you while trying adding a VPN profile(have a look at my screen shots posted in my very first post? I think my issue is with server address.
Note, I mentioned to PPPOE since I configured my router via PPPOE which required me a user name and PW given by ISP.

When I am connected to my WiFi router wirelessly using my Windows 10 HP notebook, trying launching the CMD Prompt, and running it as admin, then typing in 'ipconfig /all", then this information was listed(screen shot below). So, do you think that any of these would be filled into the 'server address' and 'Name' fields shown to me when creating a VPN on my cellphone.

NOTE: Wireless LAN adapter Wi-Fi is connected since I am connected wirelessly via my Notebook wireless adapter.
