Text messaging weirdness

Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong..

Ill be having a text convo with someone, finish and hit the home screen..

Someone new will text me, ill click the messages icon and it will take me right back to my previous convo.. then if I hit the back button it puts me right back to the home page.. then if I click messages again, I get to see the new message..

Are you using Handcent?

I had a problem Saturday with it where I was texting my wife and somehow 2 of the texts went to my daughters phone and still showed they were linked to my wife in the conversation, but she never got them and my daughter did.

I noticed when my wife sent me a text and I hit on it, it would show her name, but when I started typing it changed to my daughters name and I didn't catch it in time and then it seemed to default that way until I took my Handcent off the screen and reapplied it again. Acted as a txt forwarding almost...

Hasn't happened since...

If i understood your problem correctly....

I might be mistaken, but i believe this might be happening because you did not exit out properly the last time you were texting. So because of that it takes you to the last screen you were on.

Try using the back button to back out of your messaging app, instead of hitting the home button.

Well, obviously you figured out the shortcut of pressing home

In most cases it probably works out better for you if you want to return to your last comversation.
But if you're trying to go to a new conversation, then it doesn't.

So pick your pleasure...
Hit 2 buttons on your way out...
or on your way in...
