No that never seems to get recognised. You know, like helping other people. Very often comes up on a job spec "Good team player", and on competency style interview questions "Describe a time when you were part of an effective team". You want effective team? I'll give you effective team. Grrrrr!

I think when the business is employee owned a good team can be very practical.

When people just have to 'cc' everyone, to demonstrate they're a) doing something and/or b) have come up with an idea. Got to laugh, it's why my mailbox is crammed full of junk. Haha! Who needs spam?

I had a boss that would print every email. And every response, that included the original message and all the previous responses. He would have a half inch thick file on planning a weekly meeting.

what grinds my gears? the androids handling of photos!! plug the phone in and move the photos to the computer. go t the pictures files and behold all the gazillions of unwanted logos, symbols and all sorts of nonsense I do not no where they came from, and then many photos repeated dozens of times in folders, every time you plug the phone in !! At least your phone holds on to pictures... mine just throws half of them away.

Dngrsone's rule for CC: If it may be of interest to your boss, CC him. If you are emailing to other bosses, definitely CC him. If you are tasking someone outside your "chain of command", CC your boss and their boss (otherwise it will never get done).

Mine doesn't dare. I've removed any handling of photos from Google or the phone.
If you don't want the gazillion pics from your files then get nomedia. Someone here will explain. It works.

Why's the Devil the bad guy yet God's the good guy? Don't get me wrong, I'm no devil worshipper but surely all he does is punish the bad people God sent to Hell. Now God on the other hand has the worship me or be smited mentality. I'm pretty sure in the bible the Devil never made someone kill there own son to prove their worth to him. Does anyone else not enjoy work organised social events? I prefer to choose who I socialise with. Not be pressured into further dealings with people I spend 8 hours a day with, and some of who might be total asshats.

I'm with you LV, I hate work social events....... I'm celebrating my 20th year with my job this year and they throw a party every year for the peeps that's been there that long or longer ... My boss looks at me and says I know you aren't going because you are Anti- social....... no I just spend everyday with you guys and my free time I'd rather not spend with you guys.

You see this is what happens if you don't go, you get labelled as anti-social. I'm not anti-social, absolutely the opposite in fact. I'm a very friendly and helpful person, It's just that I lack the kind of social interaction skills that other people find completely natural. This is due to something called social anxiety. The number of people I 'click' with, and don't get socially anxious with is a very, very small number, and I absolutely hate group social situations, preferring one-to-one conversation.
But it's difficult to explain all that to someone, and if I did, I doubt it would be received very well, or somehow taken as a negative thing.
