Evil Eris v2.0.1 ( This is a non-wipe flash over update for 2.0 users )

(I highly recommend downloading off Megaupload, Don't ask me, but its just always super fast for me )

After you install this rom, it IS normal for the bootanimation to restart after first sliding the lockscreen. This is ok, just be patient
REMEMBER , Configure Autokiller for better battery life!

New installers, please install v2.0, boot it up, then go back to recovery and flash v2.0.1 WITHOUT wiping. This will fix all the problems mentioned,especially MMS.

INSTALL:

1) Load EvilErisv2.0.zip/EvilErisv2.0.1.zip to the root of your sdcard.
2) Make sure your phone is off, and Hold Power + VOLUME UP
3) Press "wipe" and press "wipe/factory reset" after that, press VOLUME DOWN
4) Press Load .zip from sdcard
5) Select EvilErisv2.0.zip/EvilErisv2.0.1.zip
6) Allow it to install by confirming (Press Trackball)
7) After Installation, allow up to 7 minutes for boot

Overclocking info:
To use overclocking to work, you can buy SetCPU for $1 in the Android Market, or legally free from here. <- Yeah, click that [IT IS INCLUDED ALREADY IN 2.0.1]
1)When starting SetCPU, select Autodetect and accept the SU Request.
2)Move to your desired speed.
3)Make sure to set profiles. These are essential to maintaining battery power.
(If you don't edit these correctly, everytime you wake up your phone from sleep, it'll be lagtastic.( So set up you sleep/standby and other profiles)

Anyone else having problems with silent calls? It's happened twice and I had to restart. Also, when that happens, not sure if my texts are going through either. Happens when I received and made calls.

I had already installed 2.0 for a while now. Just applied the patch over everything i was running, is this not how i should have done it??

ok for what ever reason i still can not get 2.0.1 to flash over 2.0

After trying out different roms I came back to Evil Eris. I started from the beginning. Shut down phone then vol up/power to the recovery screen.
Nand Backup Connect to Pc and use the USB-MS toggle to backup your sd. remove data from sd then disable usb,partition sd card use default settings,partion ext1 ext2. connect to pc and enable USB-MS and copy Evil Eris 2.0 and 2.01 to sd.

Flash 2.0, flash 2.01 then reboot. If that doesn't work go back to recovery mode (Vol+/Pwr) flash 2.0 reboot, flash 2.01 reboot.

put files back on sd but don't overwrite directories written by the rom.

What I'm understanding is you had 2.0 installed, partitioned than flashed 2.0.1.
I cleaned my sd and partitioned it first than installed the zip files on the sd than flashed 2.0 than 2.0.1. I posted something above on this. I believe you have to start from the beginning. You may have to remove the partitions from the recovery screen.

If the phone does need to be rooted first can someone point me to an idiot's guide to doing so if she is already on 2.1 from the OTA. I've looked at several of the rooting threads here but seem to be getting confused about a few things as I see references to several different topics related to rooting such as leaked vs ota etc..

I think this ROM is the best available. Of course, no offence to any other devs, but ee is just what I was looking for. Still having some problems with a2sd, but everything else is great. On that note, adb shell says everything is running from the card and a2sd check says all is good but with 10th apps in I'mdown to 88 mb. Anyone have any ideas? Overall great work!

So far no useful responses on XDA, any help here would be great:

I love this ROM, but I can't get the Market to "stay." I have reflashed a couple of times in hopes that it will fix whatever is wrong; and it will stay there for a day or two, but then it just goes away. It leaves me with at white box with a blue android icon that's labeled com.android.vending.Ass...(the rest is cut off). What's going on? I would love to get this fixed b/c of all the ROMs i have tried, I prefer to use EE.

For clarification: This icon was my Market icon, now it has a different image and different text under it. I can't get to the market on this phone now.
