Warcraft 1 Running on Droid

Hey everyone I saw an article last night about drraccoon over at android central putting windows 3.1 on his droid via a program called aDosBox. Now if you know what Dosbox is, it's a way to play DOS games/programs on a number of different OS.


Using the same way he installed Windows 3.1 on his droid I installed Warcraft 1. Now while slow it is fully functional. I will post some pics later if you guys want. I'm pretty sure any of these Dos programs will work:

Droid really can do anything.


PS. Forgot to mention that sound at the moment does not work. They are working on it though.

Well so meaning like actual snail's pace slow. I have only tried Warcraft though. Im going to try Warcraft 2 later on and I all most tried Tomb Raider last night but I passed out.

I bet I could make it faster I just have to learn how dosbox works. Plus it could just be how aDosBox runs, Its only on version like 0.1 I believe.

DosBox opens... DosBox closes. I can't get it to run at all.

I hope that DosBox gets developed further for the Droid. I tried running Fallout on it a while back and just got an out of memory error no matter what I did.

any idea if Dungeon Keeper is playable on the droid, I have been missing that game for years, probably one of the best DOS games i have ever played

The games I really wanna see running on my Droid are Arena and Daggerfall. Especially to be able to use the touch screen for swinging a sword.

I wouldn't be surprised if the sluggishness is mostly due to how early a build it is of dosbox. Quake 2 runs well on the droid, but that thing was converted to work without an emulator.

I can't wait until I can play those DOS games I remember and those I missed out on back in the day. But just think, in 5 years we'll probably be getting games like Crysis to run on our mobile devices.

Dungeon Keeper's one of my favorite games. I love smacking me some imps.
