Kindle app coming!

I don't read whole books on my phone... however I do have a Kindle, and it is really nice that any device you have with the Kindle app will sync to the last page read in the event you happen to be using a different device. I had Kindle on my BlackBerry Storm, and while I wouldn't read a whole book on that device (nor would I on my Incredible), it is really nice when commuting on a train, waiting in a lobby for an appointment, killing time while holding the wife's purse in a store, etc... that I can read a few pages to pass time. Then when I get back to my Kindle device for some serious reading, I'm still sync'd to the last page read.

Well okay, I did actually read one whole book on a phone device before, but that was done just to say I did it, and it wasn't all that bad.

So how much does Kindle cost for the app. Do you have to buy each book seperately? How much is one book. Are only some books on Kindle or do they have lots of new books? The apps I saw in the market now only had very old books.
Thanks!

This is good news. While I prefer reading on my Kindle there are times that I do not have it with me that I read on my Incredible. Many of the books that I have on my Kindle are mobi pocket format so I have been reading them with FBReader which is a great app. Looking forward to being able to read my amazon formatted books!

1. The Kindle app is free.
2. Books cost from free on up. Because of the iPad, Amazon had to redo the deals with the Publishers of books. The Publishers are now setting the prices and the books are going to cost more.
3. You have access to any books, thru Amazon, that the publishers have released an ebook for.
4. You have lots of new books.

Kindle for Android will allow you to purchase, on your phone or on Amazon, any available ebooks.
