So I've seen quite a few threads comparing and reviewing the various protectors that are available and I'm just curious which way people are going. I've tried to include all of the brands that people have suggested/mentioned and the list is a lot longer than I had anticipated. Also I'm not exactly sure which brands offer AG/AF but just pick your brand along with that option.

For my Incredible I've gone from Skinomi to Clarivue. I am now going back to my old faithful Wrapsol. I should have paid the premium in the first place and I would have saved money in the long run. I am trying their new "Ultra" series which is a dry application that also has shock absorption.
I've always gone naked. But the Wrapsol video looks intriguing. Can you tell me a little about it, can it be removed if you don't like it, how it feels vs the plain glass? Thanks in advance.

I got a Zagg + Installation from BB for free so I'm going to use this until it dies. It isn't crystal clear but you can't tell it's on with screen on. It's also a bit sticky, harder to use screen. But it does the job.

I'll most likely switch to Steinheil crystal clear when it dies.

When are we supposed to change these? Anyone know the general life span of a screen protector?

Wrapsol is great because there is virtually no orange peel effect, yet it offers superb protection. The feel of it is great, I never had that tacky feeling that I used to get with Zagg. From what I remember when I installed it about a year ago on my enV Touch, it wasn't the thinnest protector that I've ever seen, but it was quality and not a con to me. As for removing it, of course you can. I had to remove mine when my enV Touch was acting up and Verizon sent me a new phone. It removed fine with no residue.

When I ordered yesterday I opted for their new "Ultra" series. It's supposedly the material that they use on cars to avoid dings and scratches. Wrapsol claims it will protect from a 6 foot drop.

I can only imagine that it's pretty thick, but I was willing to give it a shot. This paragraph convinced me:

Wrapsol ultra protective films use a new dry application process making protecting mobile phones, MP3 players, netbooks, notebooks, digital cameras and portable gaming devices faster than ever before with a quick, three-step process: simply align the film, tack it down, smooth it on. An air bubble-releasing adhesive that is unique to Wrapsol ultra ensures the smoothest application possible.

Clarivue in the mail. If that one sucks, I'll likely order Steinhell.

I am going from Clarivue to Wrapsol now. The Clarivue definitely doesn't suck as a protector. It went on smooth, is clear and seems to protect well. I just couldn't get over the upside down "u" shape cutout for the joystick leaving the area below the joystick open, and the protector itself is too short leaving some open space on the bottom.

In all honesty though it's a great protector and probably would have served me well. I am just too anal and am tired of "trying" other brands. I went back to my old faithful Wrapsol. No orange peel effect and built rock solid.

The Wrapsol looks AMAZING. I might order one now and just return the Clarivue. I've got the whole OCD anal retentive deal myself.

Dude, if you're OCD and anal retentive, do yourself a favor and return the Clarivue, it will drive you nuts! :p

Also, you won't be disappointed with Wrapsol. At least in my opinion you won't.

Are we sure you aren't a Wrapsol rep Wize? haha I'm still a bit torn actually. I'm currently looking at the Steinheil, Wrapsol, and Phantomskinz. Price (w/ shipping) is certainly a factor at $13.40 (for 2), $21.91 (for 1 w/ 20% off), and $9.95 (for 2) respectively. Are the Wrapsols really worth 4 times the cost of Phantomskinz and 3 times as much as the Steinheils?

i just received my steinheil crystal clear screen protector in the mail. I just placed it on my incredible and it looks like i don't have a screen protector on. doesn't have that rubbery feeling to it when you slide from home screen to home screen. the Installation was easy. went on great, was very easy to get the air bubbles out.

I really like my Phantom Skinz. I've had it on for three weeks and you still can't tell that there is a protector on the screen. The case hides the edges and prevents dust from getting under the screen protector. No smudges or stickiness. When it was briefly naked, I always had nasty fingerprints. It was also pretty cheap.

Just got my 3pack of
Boxwave Crystal ClearTouch Screen Protectors

I left the factory screen protector on the Incredible til I received the Boxwaves in the mail...I did this to keep the screen completely clean & clear of dust, dirt, oil, etc (It about drove me nuts waiting)

Waiting to remove the factory Incredible screen cover was the best move I made.
I had the Boxwave installed, FLAWLESSLY in under 5 minutes.
First try. NO SWEAT.
When I put it on my Incredible, I starting from the top of the screen by the earpiece. I watched the Boxwave literally do all the work for me...
The Boxwave screen protector literally melted away any air underneath...
VERY SMOOTH Application.
Boxwave I hope you read this. U guys have a TOP NOTCH PRODUCT!!

The MOST Important detail.....
I can't even tell the Boxwave Screen Protector is on there!!!!

Its like having an invisible screen protector!
EVERYTHING I look at is clear and vibrant...
Video playback with Boxwave looks fantastic.

Comes with a nice Lint Free Cloth, its very gentle and won't harm your screen protector...Great for cleaning the screen! Should you get an air bubble, simply take the lint free cloth, and with your finger on the cloth, simply push toward edge of screen. Cloth won't damage your screen.
Did I mention these Boxwave protectors are ReUsable?

I have seen Horrible screen protectors...I am not new to screen protectors at all. I have seen the good, the bad, & the ugly.

Boxwave is none of these...

BOXWAVE IS INCREDIBLE!
I would recommend Boxwave to anyone, and shall mention Boxwave to everyone I know as a MUST buy!

I can assure you that I'm NOT a Wrapsol rep. I can also assure you that I work in marketing for a living. And I can also assure you that it's not even in a technological field. But when I believe in a product, I spread the good word like I'm at work, lol.

With all of that out of the way, I wouldn't compare Steinheil to Wrapsol or Phantom Skinz. Steinheil is a plastic protector and Wrapsol and Phantom Skinz are rubber based. In short, Steinheil WILL scratch eventually and you will need to replace it sooner, where Wrapsol and Phantom Skinz might not scratch for the entire time that you have it on your phone.

With that being said, I would lean towards Wrapsol and Phantom Skinz. Yes you will pay a premium for the Wrapsol, but I have concluded that it's the best protector around. Phantom Skinz is a great bang for the buck however, and is a great protector in its own right. It just depends what you want to spend.

I opted for the new Ultra series from Wrapsol to give it a shot. It's a dry application and supposedly it's simple to apply with no air bubbles. If it doesn't work as advertised, I will return it and get the original Wrapsol which is wet application like Phantom Skinz.

It's ultimately up to you, but my vote is for Wrapsol. Hope that helps!

Well I don't actually think that you are a Wrapsol rep but you are very effective at promoting them and the thought crossed my mind. The only reason I brought up those particular 3 brands was to illustrate the price differences between two of the more popular options, Steinheil and PhantomSkinz, and Wrapsol; not to say they are the same thing. Also, do you expect your Ultra in soon? I wouldn't mind seeing some pictures and what not when you get it in.

i have a clarivue on there now, but it was such a PITA to put on that i mangled the first one and it took me 30 minutes to get the second one on without bubbles - and that was WHILE doing it in the bathroom with the shower on to knock the dust out of the air.

intrigued by wrapsol...is it really as easy to apply as it seems in the video? how difficult is it to take it off?
