Facebook Page Not Found via Chrome not FB app

Suddenly last night my husband's Nexus 4 began blocking his access to his Facebook newsfeed in Google Chrome, it repeatedly displays "The page you requested was not found" error message whenever he tries to open "Most Recent" view. This does not happen if he uses Mozilla on his phone to do Facebook and neither does occur on my Moto X in Google Chrome. We both have the same up-to-date version of Google Chrome. Clearing the history, clearing all the data, logging out of and back into Facebook doesn't fix it. Oddly, he can still open other people's posts from the Notifications icon at the top of the page and he seems to be able to view the newsfeed when viewing with "Request Desktop Site" but that view is terrible on a phone screen. I haven't been able to find how to return Google Chrome settings on Android 6 to default settings, the only other thing I can think of to try to fix this.

PS: neither of us wants to use the FB app for Android, prefer using web browser access.

SOLVED: Same problem began for me today too! However, clearing cache for phone, and reinstalling chrome did NOT fix it. Here is what did work: my husband did not experience this problem, so he realized it might be a problem with one of the posts in my feed. We simply logged in to my facebook profile on another device (in this case a Windows laptop) and scrolled down some. None of the posts were particularly suspicious, but my husband assumes one of them was not optimized for mobile (i.e., perhaps an ad was coded with some flaw, or a post from a friend had something in it that Chrome on Android did not like). After that, we simply reloaded my m.facebook.com feed in Chrome on Android again and voila... whatever post was causing this was gone from the feed, and page loaded fine, without the page not found error. Either that or facebook fixed the bug while we were talking. Hope this helps.

Thanks for responding, will get him to check this out. Not sure what "m.facebook.com feed" means but perhaps you mean Most Recent. He has been using Facebook on our computer but not via Chrome. I'll get him to log on via Chrome on the PC and see if it helps.

Did it work?
I have had the same problem since yesterday, however mine is a bit different: I can have a glimpse of my newsfeed while the page is loading, and when it finishing doing that, the "was not found" message shows up (And cancelling the load process didn't help). Also, I can't view it either when "request desktop site"
I checked my feed via Windows, it's still, no ads and no posts that seems to be incompatible to Chrome at all :(

I tried both Dannydet and TeriDE's suggestions (did not clearly understand the latter) and my husband's Facebook via Chrome still blocked with that message. He's shrugged and said he'll simply go on using Mozilla instead of Chrome. He speculates this is all part of Facebook's campaign to force people onto their mobile app but if so, they're not doing this to everyone at once.

Your description of the behaviour is more accurate...it DOES show a glimpse before blanking out with the message "The page you requested was not found." Since he is using separate Gmail and Google Drive when on the phone, avoiding Google Chrome shouldn't be such a problem as it would be if this was happening on the computer.

Anyone out there still having the problem? I seem to have cleared it on my husband's Android but perhaps, as someone suggested earlier, the problem got fixed? I tried putting the cursor in the Chrome address bar at the top, backspacing to wipe out the " .m" in the page address. The page reloaded initially in desktop view, not optimized for mobile. I refreshed the page and the normal mobile view came back. As simply "refreshing" the page before I tried this didn't do anything, this either forced a full refresh on the newsfeed or there has been a fix applied.
