Google Earth ?

Personally, I think Google Maps is way cooler. Google Earth only has two views - above and at a slight angle. Yes, it makes it somewhat more readable as far as adding a horizon... but Google Maps has the Google Street View.

One of my favorite functions is to use it to look around simply by moving the phone. Amazing stuff.

Tien

p.s. In case you don't know how to get to Street View - press and hold any location on the map and a bubble will come up. Tap it and a screen with 4 tabs will come up - the human icon is Street View. Set it to Compass Mode (press Menu) to get the "lookaround" view.

You don't need to be unzipping anything.. the link to the file above is an APK file which should install without touching.

Just download Astro File Browser from the Market. Copy the Google Earth APK file to the phone through USB (I put mine in a folder called Apps) Then using Astro browse to the folder and run it with the Package Installer.

guys,

Can i have an idiots guide to installing google earth please cause i've unzipped it and used application sync but there is several files and don't know what to do.... thanks
Go to that website on your phone and download the file, then just tap on the download when it's finished and it'll install itself, nothing could be simpler doing it this way.

Haven't tried via my computer etc so don't know how hard that is.

Haha yea, that probably is the easiest way to go about it. but everyone should have Astro installed anyway :)

Personally I download all apps to my DropBox and access them remotely on the phone. Works so well for me :)
