Sinead O'Connor

Don't forget Madonna lol.... she spouted off about/at anybody over anything. She was crazy before the drugs and booze, couldn't possibly imagine her demeanor now hahaha... now she has renamed herself apparently. I would have bet money that Dolores O'Riordan outlived her, shame. If only she had acknowledged the fact that nobody likes a radicalized feminist... probably would have been more successful. Jabbing the pope wasn't a smart move on her part. And you're right @dontpanicbobby, the Dixie Chicks were the bush bashers lol

Whatever with the right-wing bullshit. Literally took 5 seconds to find this video of her singing last month. Sounds pretty good for someone living homeless under a bridge.

Wow I thought she was living under a bridge in a card board box but I am glad she is doing well that is a relief :)

I think sometimes the church has got serious issues with not allowing people that are gay or lesbian to be accepted by god.

When she says the pope is bad I actually feel for her in a way - why must the church see people who are gay or lesbian as decent and loving human beings like the rest of us and not label gay people as "evil"?

I think it's disgusting how the bible says that being gay or homosexual is "evil" or a "sin".

I actually really feel for her if her career died because of this - humanity can be such a horrible waste and a terrible thing that lacks any real intelligence.

In Lord Of The Flies when Simon (who was meant to be gay in the book or slightly feminine and was always mocked by the other boys for being gay) was sitting on the beach when all the young children kept saying there was a monster on the beach and then he corrected them and he said "the only monsters here are us" and then all the kids laughed at him but he was telling the biggest truth of all.

Humanity is just such a scary thing.

Lord Of The Flies was an ingenious book... it's true what he said.... the only demons in this world are us.

Maybe in the States. Things like that matter a lot less elsewhere.

She's still performing and recording. Few musicians remain at the top of the charts for extended periods, but many are still around after they drop out of the headlines. And sure, she's said a few controvertial things: she feels strongly about stuff and has a tendency to shoot from the hip, but I've always felt that her heart was in the right place.

And I know she's had tough times throughout her life, not just since she found fame, so am always relieved when I hear she's still hanging in there.

Remember she's Irish, so Catholicism takes on a much deeper dimension over there. Looking at her wiki, she has 10 studio albums plus some live stuff and greatest hits collections, so it's not like she dropped off the face of the earth, she just never had a huge hit like that again.

Thank you Gmash and Hadron that makes a lot of sense. :)

Hadron and Gmash you guys almost always have something interesting and thought provoking to say :)

I actually really feel for her :(

It's terrible the world people will judge no matter what you do its terrible.

I for example don't even want to talk about how much I dislike south africa because of how people will falsely accuse me being a racist and for the first time in my life I am very afriad of becoming famous and I can actually see this becoming a reality.

Everyone just wants to judge or jump to all kinds of insane assumptions and radical conclusions that are not even the truth or reality.

The world is disgusting.

She should have a right to voice her opinion about the church being evil and there is actually a lot of truth to that.

How can a loving god make somebody different biologically and then punish them for being "evil" and condemn / damn them to he'll for the rest of eternity.

Humanity is just so ****ing stupid.

Sad.

That roach character:
The world is disgusting.

It's not the world that is disgusting, it's its self proclaimed "special" inhabitants.

Yeah, in the US that sunk her career. Then, she made it worse and showed up at a high profile Bob Dylan anniversary concert a few months later and got booed off the stage after doing a defiant acapella rendition of Bob Marley's "War".

BTW, I had her first album it is absolutely fantastic. "Mandinka" was a kick ass song
