Massachusetts/New England EVO'ers?

Just checking to see if any fellow New Englander's are getting a EVO? I'm in north western MA (Athol/Orange) and I plan to get one on launch day or right after.

i was in N Adams last week. that's about as NWestern as you can get. went to school at umass/amherst, also. nice corner of the state you got there.

i'm on cape cod. i have it pre-ordered at BB and RS. RS is closer, but if BB opens at midnight or something, i'm there.

Im definitely getting one... right now i have a hero, love android but definitely need that Snapdragon!

Im not too big on launch days though. But this year i may have to step up because i know they are gonna sell out!

I did the launch day thing for my Droid and it had a decent crowd in Amherst at BB. I wound up going to walmart though cuz they opened way earlier. This time I might wait a few days to see if the phone has any major bugs.

I love the cape! Went there for 2 weeks last summer, rented a house on the beach in Truro and it was awesome. I hate the town I live in but I like the I-91 area all the way down to about Springfield.

As a native of WMass (Longmeadow), I had to chime in here -- go Pats! I live in the Raleigh, NC area now where there's already 4G, but certainly looking forward to trying out the EVO with 4G as it gets rolled out in MA over time, when I go back to my old stomping grounds.

MA here! Preordered at BB...picking up on the 4th at 5pm after work!!! It would be interesting to compare 4g services based on how far we are from boston when its a go...i.e how far outside of boston 4g will work

Is there a way to avoid the 'activation' charge, or is that the "I want it NOW" tax.

Which RS did you pre-order at? I worked at the Falmouth store years back... grew up on the Cape before moving south.

I know what BB you're talking about, cause I'm pretty sure the Hyannis store is the only BB east of the canal? That place was always a PITA.

Maine here. Getting one on launch day. Today I get to drive about 100 miles to a Radio Shack that's actually taking preorders.

There are two in Hadley/Amherst. One is in the stripmall with Stop & Shop and TJ Maxx. Its by the liquor store, just north of Stop & Shop. The second one is in the Hampshire Mall.

I'm not sure where I'll preorder it (out of town for the weekend) but I think I'll put my money down Monday at BestBuy because of the rumor of getting a free bluetooth headset. I've got one, but it will serve me better than a useless 20 dollar giftcard toward phone accessories at RS.
