Accessories Note9 Accessories Thread

It's THIS ONE and I can't wait to see how the blue Note9 looks in it... Wednesday!

:D
Pls be sure to share pics when you get that case on there. My plan was to order the case with the blue trim for my BLACK note 9, but we all know that's notta happenin. So I may just do like you and get the gold if it doesn't clash with the ugly pen too much

Thinking of getting the note 9 as I currently have the note 5. I love my note 5! But I’m not sure if T-Mobile is going to update to Oreo probably not. Might as well take advantage of $500 off for a trade-in. Would rather keep it as a spare phone but doesn’t look like that can happen.

So currently I have a glass screen protector on my note 5. I really haven’t liked it as it always looks hazy and it adds weight. What are others going to do for the note 9 with the curved screen? Get a screen protector or leave it without? I’m just curious. I really didn’t use the stylus much on my note 5 but I’m hoping to on the note 9. I need to get my pre-order in today or tomorrow so I need to narrow down cases and whether or not I get a screen protector. Thoughts? Thanks

Also… I was doing a chat with T-Mobile and mentioned I had a glass screen protector on my current note 5. I asked if that should be removed before trading it in and they said yes. I would be a little nervous taking that off is there a secret so that it doesn’t shatter and scratch the phones original screen? Thanks

The included AKG N60 headphones beat my Bose QC35s, hands down. It's not even close. The soundstage is incredible! I let the Darling Bride listen to the same track on both headsets - big mistake! Now she wants them paired to the TV for her movies and shows!

I'd tell her to buy a Note9 and get her own freaking headset... but after nearly 28 years of marriage, I'm not that stupid... she hasn't been using her QC35s because they don't stay connected across the room (maybe 20 feet).

She really needs a headset so she can better hear the dialog - so I could selfishly hope here is that the AKGs don't have any better range. But I sorta love her, so I won't hope that... besides, if she's using headphones, I won't have to listen to that drivel...

Since I ordered on VZW's business to business account, i wasn't able to select the free gift. When I got the phone yesterday, I signed into "Shop Samsung" and didn't see anything in there either, except a huge ad to preorder the Note9, even though I was on my Note9!!! LOL.

Anyway, I just now logged in to it again, and it finally said I qualified for the gift, so I too chose the headphones, and within minutes I got a confirmation email saying I was approved, and that they would ship: "The week of September" Yes... "The week" So either September will only be 1 week this year, or they probably meant to say the "last" week of Sept, knowing my luck.

Anyway, that's pretty cool that they've been giving away all these freebies for the past few years. I've scored a 256gb SD card, a 128gb SD card & convertible wireless charger, and now these headphones. Not too shabby!

Well, you have to UNDERSTAND the language of the international supply chain. 'The week of September' is a sort of Korean metric week, which is a measurement of shipping time. When they say that it will take a week to get from Korea to the United States, it's true - in the sense that the 'week' is roughly 30 days long... so you can reasonably expect to have the headset by October LOL

BTW that gold-accented silicone case is looking awesome on Jeanine! That said, it's a cheap case - some of the cutouts on the bottom don't precisely line up with the elements on the phone. But they're close enough to work, and everything will fit. I really have no use for the headphone jack (I use a Bluetooth stereo headset); since I use wireless charging when necessary (a 4000mAh battery makes it not very often), I don't need the USB-C port unless I'm plugged into Marla my Ford Explorer for Android Auto - or my computer monitor for DeX (which I haven't tried yet).

If you want a really slick looking case, available in a variety of colors, and you don't mind waiting for the shipment from China (could be 3-4 weeks), I recommend it. Be advised that it is not going to protect your screen from a flat, face-down impact.

Hold the presses!

I saw that Amazon has the Galaxy Watch in stock! I had it in my cart, ready to buy... I went back to check my order on Samsung and noticed that the 'cancel' option was gone.

I had received a mystery FedEx notification that I wasn't sure what it was. Upon closer inspection, though, the message said 'Department: SM-R810NZ'... which is the model number of the Galaxy Watch!

It shipped yesterday and will be here Monday!

Happy Chief!

SPIGEN NEOFLEX SCREEN PROTECTOR - JUST SAY NO

I tried to leave this review on Amazon, but I can't - I got an alert saying that "This product currently has limitations on submitting reviews. There can be a number of reasons for this, including unusual reviewing activity." Probably because everyone is flaming this product!

Yes, it may be easy to apply and it may protect the screen. That doesn't mean, however, that you'll be able to ENJOY the screen... and for a screen as stunning as the Note9, this thing needs to be flawless and it's far from it.

I have applied screen protectors on every smartphone I've owned since the Motorola Droid in 2009 - so it's not like I don't know how to do this. I applied it, perfect screen, no dust, squeegeed it nicely, polished it up and it looked great. A couple of days later, though, there were BUBBLES forming under the protector! It's like air molecules gravitated to each other and formed bubbles after application: these things are big, they're not going away and they're definitely not staying on my phone.

I put great trust in the Spigen name to provide quality screen protection. This product has failed me, as it has many others. I'm sending this back, and I do not recommend it to anyone.

I've tried the curved glass screen protectors, and I consistently had problems with them. Either they popped off and came loose, or the edges would crack and shatter. How reliable is Zagg and how long can it be expected to last?
I've not had a problem with ZAGG Glass Curve since the S8 Plus. I just applied the ZAGG Glass Curve to my Note 9 following the instructions and it's great.
