I currently have a Huawei mate se it has been a pretty good phone. Every once in awhile it seems like it gets confused and kind of freezes for a second but overall it's been a very good phone. I'm also noticed it's Bluetooth especially with my car's Uconnect is finicky. This is the first Chinese brand of phone I've had and honestly I like it it better than any flagship brand here in the states. However I am curious to know how do Huawei OnePlus and xiaomi compare? Is one superior over the other. I do know I can get a small student discount with one plus. I'm probably not looking to spend more than $600 . And I'm very curious which company makes the best phones overall or if there is another phone company I forgot to mention that is also great let me know. Thanks everyone

Phone manager on Huawei is what messes up Bluetooth (whether to uConnect or any other BT device). I've had a ton of Wahways with my RAM and its the same story. I can't speak for Xiaomi as I haven't tried them.

I'm currently running a Moto X4 owned by Lenovo that works great in general and gets along great with my uConnect system.

As you're in the US, I believe your choice of Chinese brand phones might be rather limited to basically Huawei/Honor, OnePlus, Motorola(Lenovo), Blu(Vivo), ....are ZTE phones still available in the US?

If you intend to grey import one directly from China. e.g. Xiaomi, definitely worth checking https://willmyphonework.net/

What does grey import mean?

FYI: :thumbsupdroid:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grey_market#Cell_phones

Like for example if you wish to buy a Xiaomi, which aren't usually available in the United States AFAIK. You'll be buying it online from a Chinese vendor. it's shipped from China(probably Hong Kong). Any problems that require warranty service, you'll need to ship it back to China on your dime, and wait. Also you might be charged for import duty and sales tax by US customs.
