Anyone have any idea why the pinch to zoom would be reversed on the google maps for me? For me to zoom in I have to pinch out and vice versa, it only started after getting the update and I tried uninstalling the update but it does the same.

Any help appreciated,

thanks.

If, by "pinch out," you mean spreading your fingers apart to zoom in, that's the way it should be. Conversely, drawing your fingers together should zoom out.

Is anyone else having some zoom issue where you go to pinch inwards to zoom out and it looks like the maps bounce outwards and zoom in more than you were zoomed in previously? I seem to have this issue intermitently. Other times I get the opposite effect, I try to zoom in by pinching out and it zooms in but when I let go it zooms out farther than it was.

edit: It only seems to happen in Maps, zooming in and out of something like Earth works just fine.

Yes, every once in a while, it will be wonky on me, and I'll be zoomed out really far. I usually just keep double tapping to get me back to where I was, but it is odd.

To recreate it:

Use two fingers about 2 inches apart.
Slowly move fingers apart from each other, about 1/8 of an inch. (also works if you move them TOWARDS each other 1/8")
The map will now zoom out a little bit.
Now trying to pinch to zoom in (move fingers TOWARD each other), will cause zoom to always zoom out, instead of correctly zooming in.

Hit the blue dot for your location to reset.

same type of problems here..

i was zooming in on a map.. and when i tried to zoom out it just kept zooming in and it went all the way zoomed.

I have been able to replicate it many times.

I thought my touch screen was f-ed up so i downloaded the freemultitouch test app and it tracked my fingers perfectly.

Then i downloaded a drawing program to see how accurate my touchscreen was and it looked pretty good, not as good as the iphone but pretty darn good.

My pictures and my internet browser all seem to zoom fine with no problems..

I hope google does an update soon.. its kind of annoying.
