Cache clearing is only temporary though: they fill up again. Browsers and social media can cache a lot of data though, so as well as clearing their caches getting rid of any redundant apps might help (and by "redundant" I mean for example "do you actually need to give several hundred MB to Facebook when you could use a browser?" as well as "how many browsers do you need?").

Otherwise I've nothing to add beyond what I said earlier: remove unused apps, disable unneeded built-in apps. If you rooted the phone (i don't know how for this model) you might be able to use other mods to move more stuff to SD. But with an 8GB phone, which means less than 4GB available to the user, you will always be very limited.

The phone is an lg g4s

Never heard of an LG G4 S

EDIT: I guess this is the one. 8 GB internal storage

Quote from the article:

This is also the case for the internal storage at just 8 GB, and you can only use 3.2 GB ex-works. A storage expansion is therefore pretty much a necessity. The G4s has a microSD slot that can be equipped with memory cards at up to 128 GB. Thanks to the support of apps like App2SD, it is also possible to transfer some apps to the SD card; but, unfortunately, it did not work with all apps, so the small internal storage can be a problem.

Root the device to get more space. By rooting the device you can delete pre installed applications. Whats the model if it is Samsung simply use Odin.

Deleting pre-installed apps won't generally clear up that much space. That may open up more room in the system partition, but it won't make it available to the user.

@Asmastrup from your screenshots it shows your apps are taking up more than 3 GB which is pushing the limit for usable storage .... and Android needs 300MB - 500MB free for normal operation. You can try moving apps to SD, but in my experience, it's a bit of a kludge, impacts performance greatly (SD cards are an order of magnitude slower than internal RAM) and can be risky. SD cards are notoriously unreliable when stressed with constant read/writes of running apps. :(

If you determine that all the installed apps are necessary, even with the best optimization, which will take you many hours of effort over what you've already put in, you're still going to have a poor experience and a phone that leaves you with no where to go. You really should consider replacing it.
