Accessories Innocase is here...

Nice, but still waiting on their larger extended battery and the case to go along with it. In the meantime, I finally caved in and just went on ebay to buy a cheapy hard rubberized case to use while I wait for those releases. I figure 5 bucks is a small price to pay for some extra protection in the month or two I might have to wait.

I must have missed the posting about these cases being available, and I have watched the site constantly. Must have changed sometime yesterday after I checked. A friend that has owned almost every smart phone to date recommended this case and said this was the best phone he had ever owned. I have already gotten one of the 1750 battery's. Is there something wrong with them? I've have all the accessories but still waiting my phone; ordered the 13th over the phone.

Is it REALLY worth the money? It's only 25% more capacity. I don't really want the larger size of the bigger battery but my phone dies everyday around 6pm. (yes, I have advanced task kill app and its working constantly, I keep the brightness down where I can.) Definitely need a bigger capacity battery but I didn't think I would see a significant difference with that one?

It's not really "bigger" (1-1.5 mm) fits in the stock location.

25% is a pretty significant jump IMHO. (10 vs 12.5 hours, 12 vs 15 etc)

Is this case really that cool? It's 2x the price of the Verizon silicone case and that works perfect.

It's all subjective obviously, but the silicone case doesn't work for me because the case doesn't let me plug in my headphones all the way. I'm hoping the seidio case doesn't have that problem. Also I'm not a huge fan of the silicone texture.

How is ATK hurting battery?

When I launch ATK, I see so many opens apps and my memory shows as 35 MB available. I kill all the apps and memory shoots up to over 220 MB. I'm pretty sure I can notice when the phone slows down due to having less memory available.

I thought Android was supposed to manage memory well.

Son of a.... Did anyone else notice the shape of the Innocase? There is no way in hell that it is going to lay flat on its back! I guess I'm just gonna have to keep waiting to see what that "rugged case and holster combo" is. Maybe that one will flatten the back! Otherwise, I'm stuck with the vzw silicone case or waiting for the Otterbox case. FML

when I said bigger I was referring to the 3500 mAh offered by Seidio (still to be released) that requires a new door to fit. The slim line sounds great but I'm just not sold on it being enough battery for $50.

I could see that having ATK run constantly can hurt the battery but having other applications accidentally left open would be worse for it I think. I could just run it manually but if I forget....

Agreed. I can't see getting a 1750 for 50 bucks, even if it does fit into the phone properly. However, I hope that make the mega huge battery back a little prettier than the hideous pile of crap that was the Eris back. Yuck, seriously.

I saw that and instantly said "not for me". I'm not sure why they did that. I'm holding out for Otterbox.

Why do you guys need it to lay flat on its back? So what if it wobbles?

This is something that is likely to bother a lot of people. It may not bother you but I think a lot of people would just naturally expect this of their phone/case. I'm not trying to rain on anyone's parade, but that is a deal breaker for me and at least one other person who posted here. I'd be willing to bet a lot of people are going to either avoid this case or be annoyed that it doesn't lay flat after they receive it. If it doesn't bother you, more power to you.

EDIT: I probably didn't answer you explicitly enough, so here it is. I want to be able to touch it on the table without it wobbling. If it lays flat on the table it will have MUCH more friction which means, a little bump won't send it skidding across the table (the material may be such that this isn't much of a concern anyway, but the fact still remains, more surface area contact = more friction = a good thing in my mind). There are games out for other phones that allow two players to play: something like a "fast tap race" game where the phone needs to lay flat and both players are tapping it at the same time. You won't be able to do this w/ this case. That is obviously not an exhaustive list of the issues that this type of shape would cause, but if this type of stuff doesn't bother you then it's nothing you need to be concerned with.

Those apps aren't actually running and they aren't wasting. You don't need the memory free. All you are doing is making those apps take longer to load next time to launch them (thus using more battery) and risking turn off needed services.

It's not windows. Realize that the OS and the people who work for Google are most likely smarter than you. Just trust them.

It has nothing to do with the people that work for Google or the OS .... it is the people who design the apps and design them to constantly run and poll for information ..... ATK is a great app and I make sure that it is checked to kill itself every time I run it so it doesn't waste battery itself in the background.....

As far as the cases, they look great but what is taking so long to have these released and get extra colors? I come from a manufacturing and technology background and I KNOW it doesn't take that long to produce cases like this and offer other colors .... the phone has been out for almost a month now and we are just getting cases (and not even the whole selection) ... come on now Seidio ... you know you can do better than that....
