I think with former staff posting, folks may not know who they are and may get confused with the count.

That's my thought too Mike. A guy drops in and thinks he is entitled to 2 points a post.
I went back in time and Tow has always been played to 1000. I personally think a shorter game would be more fun.
I would like to see it more fair however. Not may premium members playing the game.

At all! I've only seen a couple and they post every so often! Regular members we only get 1 point so it seems pointless sometimes when there is two of you posting at 2 pts a post
