All I want for Christmas...

Christmas is a very special time of the year for many people all around the world and I know that there are deep aspirations that many people strive or yearn for and I am sure there must be at least 1 thing that you really desire or would wish would come true.

There are definitely a few things I want so badly for this Christmas period and I really hope it comes true as I pray that everything comes right...

All I want for Christmas is my homeland to come right and I am praying that everything goes smoothly and peacefully and that the blacks don't start stealing and killing all the white people here and destroying everything through insane corruption and I pray I don't have to become a refugee and run for my life.

I want a happy country that finally comes together and loves one another - it's long over due!

The other thing that I am praying for big time is for my father to get healed and to come right... yes... my father and I have had not such a great relationship over the years but finally we seem to be coming together these last few years and we finally started talking to each other nicely and not fighting all the time before like we used to.

I pray and ask God for Christmas that I may have many more years with my father and that he fights off Burkitt's Leukemia and survives his 2nd big cancer.

And I want my mom to be less stressed out and more calmer and not so overloaded and for her to just be happier :)

This is all I want for Christmas :)

I don't want any material things as I have more money than I need.

No matter how big or small it is - there must be something you want too for Christmas I am sure :)

So what do you want for Christmas? :)

Have a great and blessed Christmas everybody!!!

Is that you, Stinky? Why the new name?

But to get to your question: The one thing I want most seems pretty impossible, and that's for my daughter and her little family to move near me. I'm in one state, they're in another--which happens to be where my son-in-law's mother lives...and he's something of a mama's boy. But the biggest factor is financial, as I'm in the most expensive housing state, California, and although they're both making excellent money in their careers, buying a house here would be a crippling debt.

The greatest irony ever is that my daughter will inherit my house (which I own outright) when I die. I've stipulated in my trust that it cannot be sold, but must be handed down. So they're going to live here...but I'll be dead. :(

Unlike the legendary Stinky, I don't have all the money that I need, however, i too don't want any material things.
Hitting a time in my life that I'm feeling like paring down some.

My oldest daughter got married last year and gave me an 8 year old grandson, in the process, and is due to give me another next year. My youngest lost her baby at the end of summer, so all I want is for my girls (my wife included) to be happy.

But, if Santa brought me a box of cigars and a bottle of bourbon, I wouldn't send it back.

I want the world to return to who we once were : caring, respectful, and nice people.
It seems like everything is changing for the worst and not looking to be better anytime soon.
The downward spiral we go.....

All you can do is try to make your own tiny piece of the world the best it can be, and be nice to other people.

Common decency, civility and manners...no longer taught in the home.

Let me reassure you that this is not a universal truth! My grandsons, 8 and 10, have been raised to be polite, compassionate, and well-behaved. The kids in my neighborhood are the same way, very polite and considerate. So it's not a lost cause!

Why wish upon a star once per year, gee, why not spread it throughout the entire span of every other day? Why not make yourself a better person in that process of thoughts and well mannerships, why not do little things, like talk with your siblings or email everyone you know?

Why not just spend that time with them?

@joe71 there was times when my Christmas wish was like that when my 8 children were really children and out of that 8 are two sets of twins. My wife and I made sure they all had something to open on Christmas days, but now All 8 of my children are grown up now and in their 30's and a couple close to 40 and they all moved to different parts of the country and neither of them live in the same state. I wish they all remember to get together one Christmas and enjoy each other families and send a text or a Christmas card to their mother and I. If I keep my fingers crossed maybe they all fly to Massachusetts for Christmas and come together as a family again and we all can enjoy Christmas together again but that's just wishful thinking .

Excellent present for you and the dog! Your local animal shelter or rescue groups can help you choose your new best friend.

It's better to wait until after Christmas to bring a new pet home. There can be too much activity and stimuli on Christmas, really overwhelming a pet new to the home.

For parents doing this, you can put a picture of the dog in a box, wrap it up like a gift, and have the kids open it on Christmas. They get the fun of opening a gift and finding out they're getting a new pet, without traumatizing the pet with all the Christmas day festivities.

A cat too. No kids around anymore. I use the MSPCA Animal Care and Adoption Center on Tremont Street in Boston.
Excellent!

Tiger was a great mouser for mom. I'm thinking the dog for my work at home nephew to walk and the kit to keep the meeses out and chill with me.
Cats know how to chill.
They sure do! One's snuggled up on my legs right now. We're both content.

It looks like my wife and daughter might travel to Memphis TN for Christmas, appearently there is going to be a get together at one of the aunt's and uncle houses, family will be there a few days then they are going to new Orleans for a few days before they return home.
Me I don't know where I will be.
