"glitchy" or "stuttering" music via BT connection

I have an S7E that is almost 3 years old. I can connect via BT and play music to many different devices...no problem. Speakers, Hi-FI Sytems, other vehicles, etc...no problems at all.

Now I have a new 2018 Dodge Charger. When I play MP3 music that is resident on my S7E via BT, it sounds as described in the subject line. There are no issues using the car phone functions via BT.

I have tried all that I can think of to fix this...it appears to be some issue between the Charger and the S7E specifically.
I can play MP3 music from my S7E via BT connection to many other devices, no problems.
I can play MP3 music from my wife's phone and my old Blackberry Z10 via BT connection to the Charger, no problems.

Can anyone help me here? This is very frustrating. Thank you in advance.

That is very strange. And you've done all the correct investigation activities. I can only guess it's some problem with data transfer between the two systems. Tricky one to diagnose.
Clutching at straws, but can you check if there any software updates available for your car?
