Need an app to log my external IP addresses

I need an app to log my external IP address.

I've spent ages searching but can't find anything.

I have an app that does what I need!
It's called IPView: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dk.martinschultz.ipview

It keeps a log. But I can't find where it's storing.
I've used a file manager to search the local storage but can't find.

There are other apps.
But I can't find any that allow me to access the logs.

Anyone know what app I can use?

I've already done that.
No reply yet (email only sent 1 hour ago! LOL)
I wasn't sure if I would get a reply so I thought I would ask on the forums.
I assumed that if I searched for 'ipview' in the folders, I would find something...
But nothing. I've tried searching 'crunzh'. Nothing either.
I assumed all apps would store data somewhere... and find it odd that I can't track down.

It could be keeping the logs on their servers, in the cloud, and it's using a webview to display them in the app.

very worrying if kept in cloud!
but let's say he has 100,000 downloads.
that could be a lot of data for users he is keeping for no reason.
wouldn't make much sense.

in any case... is there no other apps anyone knows of that logs ip addresses?

Could be the dev is selling the IP address log data to tracking and ad agencies, to make some $$. Which is quite common with "free" apps. I notice their Privacy Policy is invalid.
100,000 users might be no problems, Google, Amazon, Baidu, Alibaba, etc have vast data centres to handle that.

that would sound really really worrying.
i don't have any worries about the data for this app (other apps would be an issue).
i would have though google have some sort of safeguards for this...
but for something small like this, i guess hard to police.

If you need to find out what your current external IP address is you can always just use a browser and go to a site like this one:
https://www.whatismyip.com/
Then copy and paste the resulting IP into text file if you want to keep a running log.

Another option is to use a terminal app like this one:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jackpal.androidterm&hl=en_US
Then you can use a simple command like this:
curl https://ipinfo.io/ip > IP_log.txt
will result in a log file named 'IP_log.txt' containing the current external IP address.

As for independent developers doing data mining and selling their findings as some kind of money making scheme, that's more of a big corporate problem involving commercially developed apps. I could be mistaken but I'm not aware of any kind of clearing house in any nation that mails out checks to individuals trying to sell whatever user data they might be able to accumulate. Violating user privacy has become a major problem with the big corporations like Google and Facebook, I haven't heard or read of individuals being a problem too. Accusing or even implying some developer is doing the same without any valid proof doesn't seem fair at all.

Or he could be storing it as part of the app's internal data (/data/data/<package name>/...) - in which case you'd only be able to view it in the app because you'd need root to access that area.
