I was wanting to know how to root the LG Stylo 4

I have tried to unlock the bootloader first with this thread>: https://www.techdroidtips.com/unlock-bootloader-lg-stylo-4-q710ms/

But when I get to the fist part :
  • Next, open the command prompt on the PC (Win + R & then type cmd, click enter). And type the following ADB Command code to reboot the phone into the bootloader.
  • adb reboot bootloader
I type adb reboot bootloader but it will just restart my phone back up and NOT into bootloader.

If theres any way you could help me out or any information on this phone it would help a lot.

Still no root?
nope nothing so far.

you can check these threads for progress:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help/lg-stylo-4-root-dir-access-gained-t3901137/page2
https://forum.xda-developers.com/general/help/lg-stylo-4-root-t3816803
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help/lg-stylo-4-lmq710ms-flashing-patched-t3895044

most of these threads are not progressing very well. it is mainly because lg has locked the bootloader and at the moment there is not much of a community supporting this device as far as developers go.

i doubt very much that it will ever gain root access, unless some known developer decides to give it a go.

just remember:
no devs=no fun

if you want to root a phone look to get either a pixel or moto device.

As you know that to Root LG Stylo 4 you first have to Unlock your phone Bootloader. So, what I have done is I have first Unlock the Bootloader of LG Stylo 4 using this guide ==> https://developer.lge.com/resource/mobile/RetrieveBootloader.dev?categoryTypeCode=ANRS.
I have successfully rooted my LG Stylo 4 device using this guide ==> https://myphoneupdate.com/root-lg-stylo-4/ and it's 100% working.

do i need to download the bootloader on my pc or everything is done on my lg phone

bootloader is a partition on your phone. it is not something you download. you need to unlock the bootloader first before you can root your phone. the guide is in the second link for you to follow. please read it very carefully and feel free to ask questions here, if you have any.

I have attempted using the links provided in the above posts - However, the first link points to LG Developer Website, which is no longer available. The page states that "LG Mobile Developer was terminated on December 31, 2021". Following the second link in the above post, under "Pre-Requirements", I'm directed to the "Unlock Bootloader Of LG Stylo 4" page on the same site, which tells me I need to enter the Device ID and IMEI number at the LG Developer Website which, as stated before, no longer exists. It sounds like LG has stopped providing developer support. Does this mean I will not be able to root my Stylo 4, or is there another path I can take?
