Video Screen capture app

So.. I spend a stupid amount of time playing an online super-heros fighting game.. which which is available on android and Iphone.

My Apple buddies have a nice built in video capture tool... which records a fight (somewhere between 1 and 5 mins) and saves it as a video file.

At the moment.. I'm using the screen grab from my pixel2 and running it through google photos to make some animated gifs... which isn't as pretty.

Does anyone use a screen recorder? any you'd recommend?

Did you try AZ Screen Recorder or DU Recorder?

I have an Oppo R15, I've read that it can record the screen up to 30 minutes but I never used it.

ah.. I'm looking around at the moment... those are the names that i've found.. but there seems to be about 3 different versions of AZ from different people....

DU Recorder comes from Baidu in China of course, and so will probably include data mining and phoning home to servers in Beijing.

Yes it's worth raising some precaution.

If you want to use DU with peace of mind, you should use a firewall or a 3rd app that blocks its access to network. Spying apps are useless without Internet connection.

Built in to the game? Or the OS? If it's the game, perhaps contacting the developer would be a good idea. Just ask if they'd consider adding that feature to their very wonderful Android version.
