Since a few days my browser (Via Browser) opens up a website called Appsquare after updating my apps in the Play Store. I did some Googling and it turns out it seems to be some kind of virus/adware that came with the apps I installed or updated. I already scanned using Malwarebytes and Eset but they didn't find anything. And no, I did NOT install any APKs that I downloaded from another website. So, is there anyone else with this?

Get rid of your malware apps, they do nothing.
Clear the cache and data from your browser and reboot your phone.
Yeah I noticed that. I uninstalled them immediately after scanning. Btw, I did what you said and after updating an app the browser no longer opened so I thought it was fixed, until today. After updating one of my apps my browser opened again with a website to promote an app. It wasn't appsquare but I couldn't tell what website it was.

I have found the source of the problem. It is the app called Xperia Clock Widget made by Lazar Dimitrov. There was another user that left a review complaining about the exact same thing as what I was experiencing so I uninstalled it. I contacted the dev about this so I hope he'll fix this.
