Have you been able to get past the boot screen? I'm having the same problem. Can't seem to get it past MetroPCS no matter what combination I try. When restoring the backup, do I have to leave everything checked?

no I couldn't. I kept lineage rom. I also didn't backup stock. I was stuck when trying to flash magisk along with twrp on stock ROM.
I cannot find a way to flash the zip for stock ROM that someone provided in this thread.
But I see others had success with modem zip therein. I'm hoping for a better solution or even an update to lineage with bug fixes.

Since this is a twrp backup it will not contain the modem. You will still need to find that. This will only contain system and boot.

I tried to push it through twrp with my pc's command prompt and the zip isnt showing in twrp at all. Will it not show in twrp?

Has anyone had any issues with the camera function crashing or am I just being lazy to so a search for it. But it's for the lineage os too so... Never attempted to use the function when I didn't need to use it but when like a accident occurred and you are the only one with a non cracked phone that worked after the crash then it's quite the 'WFT! Why the heck is that found that when the os description states it had working camera functionality'. Oh well good thing there were bystanders who did help with my inability to properly just take a simple snap of when where and who fault it was. But clearly officer I want using the phone while driving heck I wasn't even the driver.

I wonder why mileage would vary so much, this is a metropcs carrier locked phone.

Maybe I should reach out to Armando but I don't know how to make logs (if that's even necessary).

Have you tried to use the dev mode where you can use our change animation screens timing?

Very good adaptation of the ROM, it is incredible.

Although I have had several problems I have solved some with the comments.

-The camera was solved by instalango google camera, version 3.2.045
-For the flashlight I did the following: I went to configuration> buttons and there is the option to "hold down to activate the flashlight"
-It's just that the phone goes into suspension too fast. Have you found any solution to this?

I have an issue with sound in Lineage 14.1 20180909 I don't know if it is a known problem or not but when I play a game, let's say, War Robots or PUBG no sound comes out the speaker nor when I insert a normal Headphone. However, when I try to use Bluetooth headphones the in-game sound works. Also I tried other games like Field Runners and for some reason the sound works.
I have no problems with sound while playing music or movies; The problem only happens with certain types of games.
I will test build 20180912 tomorrow to see if the problem still persists.

Para resolver este tipo de problemas con el audio en ciertas apps y juegos de esta ROM, tienes que instalar desde Magisk el módulo (Audio Compatibility Patch) resuelve este tipo de problemas.

Hello everyone, people that say the camera is broken, it really isn't, you just have to leave and exit the camera app until it works. Although I have recording problems, the picture can be taken just fine (and you can use Snapchat to record).

For the audio, I noticed something about what works and what doesn't. For example, we know SoundCloud does not work (for reason you will soon know). I tried to figure out why it works only when using Bluetooth. Then I used FL Studio Mobile, and the same thing happened.
Then it hit me!
These apps aren't working simply because of some kind of incompatible audio driver they use. They use a different one to manipulate the sound for better quality and low latency. So that's why when you use Bluetooth, it works, simply because Bluetooth has separate audio drivers that cannot be changed.
BOOM! Problem solved (kinda, at least we know what's wrong now) I feel accomplished!

But now for my problem... I don't know why, but sometimes when my phone isn't charging and it's not being used, it'll just shut off randomly and home button (the circle in the middle (O)) is eternally lit until i turn it back on again. You guys can see why this is a big problem... I don't know if it happens to you guys but it's very hard to deal with my phone like this.

This has worked well for me, although it's better then the stock rom on battery life, it still depletes quickly which I've mitigated with a magisk module. My biggest issue is the immediate screen timeout during calls, I thought it wouldn't be much of an issue until I called a automated service with a looping message to press a numbered button to continue, being unable to use the screen I had to reset the phone to hang up. I changed the power button to hang up now, but would still appreciate being able to see the screen. Other then that I'm really enjoying this minimalistic style OS, it's very streamlined. Good work.

Just a heads up. While some people had issues with the current rom which mainly was camera and flashlight. For me it wasn't an issue as those things were easily fixed with third party apps. I figured I'd let you know so you don't get discouraged or too hung up on the camera issue.

As I mentioned before, nice work on the rom and looking forward to the new one. I'll try to rebuild my kernel for the new one shortly after you post it.

Does any one else have issues with phone calls? When am in the city phones calls work great but in the boonies not so much. I tried every thing tweak telephony even I don't have volte but I still put build.prop in still no luck

You are correct. Google doesn't allow gapps to be packaged with community custom roms. OEMs are allowed through licensing agreements with google.

Yes. Using backup that was posted. Just wipe/format data & system, then restore the boot.img and system.img from the posted TWRP backup

Updated the flashlight quicksettings tile fix app for this rom (Lineage OS 14.1).

Changelog:

• New code - fixed lag from previous version
• Dark theme
• New launcher icon & quicksettings toggle icons
• Added an animated widget

Instructions:

1. If you have the old version installed, uninstall it.
2. Install new version and allow root permission.
3. Enable the toggle in quicksettings. Make sure to use this apps' toggle instead of the stock one.

I've tried to use this ROM a few times now, but there are still a lot of problems keeping this from being a good daily driver. The battery life using this ROM is insanely bad. I'll leave my phone at 50% at night and wake up to a dead battery. This, coupled with the camera issues (in which the suggested workarounds only slightly improve on) makes me return to stock every time.
