What grinds my gears? Mostly, it boils down to idiots making my day harder than it has to be. The kind of mouth breathers that seem to treat Idiocracy as a prophetic documentary, instead of the intended satire.

I have two rants today.

1) Dammit, Chevy, what do you want? I can't even use a 32GB USB 2 in your fancy new car? What, am I supposed to go down to the dealership and buy a 8GB GM drive to put my music on or something?

2) At the new doctor's office, they asked me to sign a couple documents on the computer, sight unseen. WTH is with that?

Another issue people call something brioche when it really isn't. Meanwhile - slight related rant. I get tired of people looking at me like I'm a martian because I don't want cheese on my burger. Let alone non-real oil based cheese food nast.

NO - just coat that merf with mustard, some lettuce, some pickles, and don't burn the thing and I'm good. OH and if I see mayo on there I'm coming back there to wood shampoo y'all. (wood shampoo for the uninitiated is a 2x4 upside the head)

As to what grinds my gears in the UK. Right now it's the psycho-Drama that is Brexit. Will it happen, if so, when, and who gives a flying **** anyway?

I've thought about it.

I mean OK so my med insurnace company wants me to have a _______ fitness tracker. K buy it for me. Now - at home every night between 530 and 600 it will be attached to an arm and cam that is driven by my drill motor so that I "jogged" 15 miles. every night, rain, snow, sleet, etc.

People who don't use their turn signals. It's really not that hard people to turn your blinkers on letting me know that you ate going to be turning soon.

well i notice it more when driving on the streets. for instance, i had a car just turn all of a sudden into a apartment complex. there was no warning. i just a quick brake light and turn. is it that hard to anticipate the turn and plan on using your blinkers to let me know you are going into the apartment complex?

plus i prefer that you signal if you are going to a lane change. especially if you plan on merging into my lane ahead me. it is just common courtesy.

Alright - rant mode engaged.

So you know in the game of oneupsmanship what you describe I have to say I've seen in just about every city in america - and a few internationally. And everyone from any one of those cities will tell you we have the worst drivers . . . . . . .

I will argue that Memphis TN is clearly one of the worst - but they don't have the traffic that some places (chicago, LA, Dallas, Boston, Miami etc) have on the daily. But what they do have to make up for that - is the lack of enforcement of things like tags and insurnace. At least half the cars on the road in the middle of Memphis don't have either. And they will pretty much dare you to hit them, it's the reason I now run a dash cam that looks forward and aft.

You will be on a 3 lane x 3 lane with median road - and some numbnuts will decide they need to turn left - from the far rh lane and cut across all 3 lanes without any signal. why - because numbnuts doesn't have 'surnace. and doesn't give a smurf because even if he has a ticket - he can't pay it and won't have to.

But aside from that - if I had to rank the worse places I've driven it would be as follows. Memphis, Boston, Chicago,Miami,LA, and then Dallas. London is odd but not so bad really once people get out of your way. Paris isn't so bad just stay out of the roundabout at the arc. Germany is probably the most organized - remember zipper merge (wish we could do that here).

One thing I wish we could do - when there is an accident - barricade up the scene so people can stop with the herd mentality. Probably my biggest grief.

Don't get me started on turn signals. People don't understand that they are supposed to signal your intentions and warn the vehicles around you, not indicate the action you are already taking.

Dallas traffic is no joke.. and Houston is worse.
people dont pay attention to other moving objects!
they are in zombie driving mode. minds are preoccupied with other shit.
but get aggressive once someone get their attention.

i was in vietnam last month. they drive NUTZ..
rules are just suggestions!!!!
but they pay attention.. and give way to others ..
they dont try to make it a battle.
it is very chaotic.. but not aggressive.

well for starters BMW's don't have turn signals - they are optional equipment.

Cadillacs do have turn signals but you have to option for the auto turn off system, otherwise they stay on.

Roundabout etiquette: Question as I've had to ask this abroad and I get different answers. DO you signal when you're in a roundabout? I say yes but only if it's a 2 lane roundabout. (rotary for those who think that's the proper term, I mean it might be but I hear it both ways)

IE - simple one lane roundabout - no signal needed because we are all going the same way so note my brake lights as I slow for my right, or left if you're in the UK or Japan. (I might have gotten that backwards)

In a 2 lane roundabout, step one pray, step two don't bother with the inside lane, and step 3 supposedly you signal for the outside lane, then your turn off but you don't signal intent to go inboard.

I always signaled and people in France would tell me not to bother, People in Ireland said thank you followed by "I didn't know yanks were so polite", and People in Holland just ignored me.
