Just curious if folks here like to imbide?

here is just a few examples that we can discuss if you like:
    1. i just started to get into bourbon and have dabbled in scotch.
    2. I love drinking wine
    3. not to mention craft beers
    4. any other spirits ie vodka, gin, and or tequila(not my favorite)

yeah as far as beer goes. i just can't get into IPA's. I'm starting to like certain ones. But things like double IPA's i stay away from, though Dogfishhead has a 160minute IPA that i actually like. I just got into Belgium beers, especially the trappist beers. Duchess de Bourgogne is my favorite. its got a lovely sweet and sour flavor with a little funk at the end. it is really delicious.....a bit expensive as it is an import. a cheaper version is Petrus's red ale.

    Bourbon. Maker's 46. Yum
Scotch (in a pinch) is Macallan (12 yr) because it too is yummy.
Neat. No matter what it is it's neat.

In the summer I don't mind a beer, but no light and no Bud/Miller. Corona or Sam Adams or along those lines. Don't like it enough to really try a ton of different types so go 'pedestrian' haha

I've taken a recent liking to Elderberry Meade.. and the fact that I tend to dislike wines in general kinda speaks for itself, Lol. Other than that, I make a sour margarita that goes down like Kool aid
yeah i have not gotten into the mead thing yet.....never tried it. i think because the hipsters are into it kind of turns me off to it.....but i'm game for anything.

    Wellers is amazing
I haven't been able to get any to try! It's on my list of things to get if I ever find it.

    Bib and Tucker bourbon
Umm. No. Not that I'm snooty when it comes to bourbon (OK, I sure am!) but it seems that all they do is further age a TN whiskey in lightly charred casks? Anyway, I'm a wheater and this appears to be high rye. Yuck LOL

guinness is great, but i can only drink when i'm in the mood for it. my everyday has always been newcastle. but i do like trying new things. Bevmo and TotalWines have some amazing selection of crafts beers now. i used to despise IPA's, but like i said i'm learning to appreciate them more and more. i tend to like all of the citrus and fruit oriented IPA's, especially now that it is spring and getting much warmer.

yeah Weller's Special Reserve is wheated i believe. it's like $29.99 or so here in Los Angeles, if you can get your hands on one. It is really good.

and yes Bib and Tucker is a rye whiskey. to be honest i haven't not really done a taste test between wheated and rye whiskies. i think i might have both kinds in my bar collection. i will have to take a look and see and maybe try them side by side.

Hearing that Wellers is hard to find would make my father turn over in his grave. I never saw the man drunk but I don't believe he let a day go by without his Wellers. I'm more of a Jack Daniels sort of guy. I did inherit the desire for it to be over ice with a splash of water. I rarely have a drink these days however. I evolved into a beer drinker. My go to is Shiner Bock and I like their Dark brew as well. Beck's dark is another fine beer I enjoy on occasion. I don't like wheat beers and I do not like an IPA. I do enjoy a well engineered dunkel now and then but give me a Shiner and I'm good.

yeah so for the hard to find stuff i have 2 bottles of Blanton's which is another highly sought after bourbon. I also have Hibiki Harmony, a hard to get japanese whiskey. I'm still looking for my unicorn of Yamazaki 12 or 18yr. I have 2 bottles of Weller's (1 bottle of the Special Reserve and 1 bottle of the Anitque 107). and i think i still have some HIghwest Yippee ki yay and Midwinters Night Dram.

    any wine connoisseurs here?

well i like me a good glass of wine from time to time. I'm not a snob or anything......but i don't mind spending a bit more for a really good bottle. However, I will never pay for Napa Valley wines that are being sold in Napa Valley. Everything there is way over priced. I would rather get it at Total Wine or Bevmo where the sell the very same wine you get in the Valley, except they cost way cheaper. I'm talking about by at least $20-30 cheaper!!!!!!

give me a good cab or pinot noir, and i'm happy
