Is there a way to find an App by its notification icon?

I am as confused as you.

I had one notification that had the other icon and when I went to the application or the information in Play Store it did not have the icon anywhere.

I have the app installed but it was not running.

This was one notification.

I do not use this app. I use chompSMS.

My guess is that there is some app that is not Messenger+ that is pushing out the notification with the other icon and identifying itself as Messenger+. (I could do this with a Tasker task.)

We're curious as to know if there is a technology to do a reverse search on a Notification icon of an App. It doesn't really matter the process (programmatically, third-party, google play, etc.).
This could almost be a game. 'What's the App?'

As an example, what would this App be? (see attached file)

A messaging app of some sort. I've not found an exact match to all of the elements (3 dots, oval bubbles, two bubbles same size) but all of those are common motifs in message apps.

I'm not even sure that's a notification: it's below the notification bar, so could be a widget of some sort (possibly self-made using KWGT or similar).
