Rescue maybe worth it

Since I have no printer, I took it to a "ups store" which was actually a place kind of similar to starbucks. They were nice enough but apparently had no way to scan the qr code and no packing material. I guess I'll have to try again at another location.
There's an app for that.
Download a qr scanner on your phone and read the information to the UPS employee.

Which one should I get? I don't want a huge app with a lot of unnecessary permissions. Once I've got it, how do I use it? I'm sorry to be such a noob about these things.
Just pick any QR scanner from the Play store, install it, open it. You'll probably immediately be in camera mode--get your phone close enough to the QR code so it's clear. You may have to manually take the picture, or the app may automatically do it once it's focused. Now take everything, including your phone, to UPS.

The QR app should have the info it read from the code; as DPB said, read it to the employee (or let them read it). Once they're done and you're leaving, complete with copies/confirmation of any shipping labels they made, you can uninstall the app.

Note: I have a god-awful headache. If I've skipped or misstated anything, please someone correct me...

Can I use a qr app for a code that's already on the phone? I got it from their website. Yesterday I went to a store that has amazon locker but not ups. This is getting crazy. Meanwhile, in related news, the replacement arrived and I took some pictures. PLEASE let this be the right one.

Actually, I don't have a qr app but the qr code is on the phone. Amazon sent it.
Okay, that's quite different. I know of no way to use the same phone a QR code is on, to scan it. You'd have to print it out, so your phone could scan it. And that takes us back to not having a printer...

Can you send the code to someone with a printer?

You can ask Amazon to send it to you via snail mail.

Again, I'm just gobsmacked at how difficult this has become. If I'd ever come up against anything this difficult...I'd probably have stopped using Amazon.

I think you should call them. They're VERY nice on the phone. Tell them your problems. They'll help.
