Hello guys,
Just have a few question. I am located in india and have a nexus one non-rooted and unlocked version. I want froyo update on it but I am not able to get OTA update though update option. I’ve few question.
after installing this update manually, does my N1 converted to non-rooted?
what about warranty?
what is the difference between this update and the public update when it will be available?
can I switch back to the 2.1 after installing this upgrade ?
and what happen after dialing *#*#2432546#*# ? is it harmful?

go for it if your nexus is the tmobile version. its going to stay unrooted. if you have the att version (like me) just wait a bit.... since the update out now by modaco will give you froyo but root your phone.

I've unlocked version of nexus one. what should I do?

will there be any difference in current available update and the final public update?

@slug,

Thank You.

heres the link

Manually Update Your Nexus One To Android 2.2 Froyo! | Android Phone Fans

like i said.. go for it if you have the tmobile nexus one (i meant the radio on it... all nexus ones are unlocked). if you dont the ROM wont work... didnt work for me since i have the nexus one with the ATT 3g bands. (there are 2 types of nexus ones... tmobile and att)

if you dont know what you have... just go for it anyways. it wont brick your device... it will just fail like what happened on my attempt earlier. tried it before people started posting that the ROM was for tmobile (tmobile hardware) nexus ones only.

oh and i dont know if there will be a difference between that and the final release. that ROM was intended for journalists (only them?)... so if there are changes those who have this rom should also get an update as this is an official google rom (is it a prerelease? i dont think no one knows yet)

Alright.. buddy.. thanks for clarification. Let me try it out.
