Note 8 to Note 9. Bump in Battery life?

Anybody here upgraded from a Note 8 to Note 9 and can comment on how much better the battery life is?

The note 8 battery life for me has been dissappointing. I just sent mine in for repair and it is coming back tomorrow looking prestine. I started thinking of selling it in its refurb condition on ebay for around maybe 350 and take a hit and get a Note 9 with the hopes of getting a better battery as a result.

Is this worth it? The improved camera and speakers is also a plus.
But my main concern is battery life. The Note 9s are going on Swappa for 500 bucks on average

How bad was your battery life on the note 8? I still have mine and I get pretty good battery life still. Can you hold or a little longer for the note 10?

I get about 4 to 5 SOT at most. Phone is close to death by 5pm or dead by then so I normally charge it at my work desk during the day. its manageable i guess but I wouldn't get a Note 10 till it gets cheaper. Unless after getting a full time job, I switch carriers and get on some sort of contract. I buy all my phones used about a year or two after release and hold on to them for a couple of years

I have literally bought in succession every new Samsung device pretty much in order.
GS3
GS4
GS5
GN5
GS6
GS7
GN7
GN8
SGS8
and I now am using the note 9.
I'm extremely happy, and the s10 stats dont even battle so I'm going to be paying the note9 off and using it as my daily until it dies.
I absolutely love this phone, and I use it all day. Around 6:30 I usually am home on the couch and I usually have at least 45% battery left which easily gets me through the rest of the night...
My girlfriends iPhone8 on the other hand is usually dead before she gets home... she will be switching to galaxy shortly.
Note 9 is the way to go. The same screen size as the s10 but you dont have two cameras in the way.

i'm a techy and i just have to have the latest and greatest. i might wait a month or two after the note 10 release before buying it, unless they have really good deals i can't pass up.

my buddy has a note 9 and he loves it. he gets close 8-9 hrs of hard use out of it which sounds way better then your note 8.

I am at 20 percent by 6pm in the 6 days I have owned this phone. I get about 5 hours most SOT. I dont know what you guys are talking about

well your experience and mine might be different. it can depends on how much you use it, your signal strength, if you have access to wifi thru the course of the day, and if you are using gps or not.

if you are hardcore using and by 6:30 pm you are at 20% that is not too bad. i have seen worse.

FWIW my Samsungs have been:

Galaxy S, my first Android device.
Galaxy Grand Duos, OK but slow.
Galaxy Note7, we all know what happened to those. And I'm still reminded to this day at every airport I pass through.
Galaxy S7, that was given to me a few months ago, and is actually a nice phone, with good battery life.

I wouldn't say hardcore using. I make a few calls maybe. Stream youtube in the background with youtube vanced. BT for an 1.5 with youtube vanced. text on facebook groupme and dating apps. Thats about it. I don't have wifi most times though and location and sync are always on with night mode
