Help Connection problems with fishfinder sonar

Hello, i have bought fishfinder that uses its own wifi network to transfer data to smartphone (lowrance fishhunter 3d if it matters). When i connect to it, it keeps going on and off from the network. After some digging from internet i guess my phone keeps trying to relog into the wifi because it sees network has no internet and keeps attempting to restart connection. But i havent found any settings to disable that feature.

Is android phone nowdays unable to connect into wifi network that has not internet?

Oh and im using oneplus 5, with latest update auto-updater offers

I connect to a dash cam via WiFi and I get an alert that the connection has no WiFi and if I want to stay connected. I can usually click yes and I'm all set. Have you checked notifications?

I did get such notification earlier, before i updated my android. After update, no more notifications. It just goes on/off every few seconds. I tested the sonar with my wifes smartphone and it tested out ok. Havent checked which version her phone holds of android thought

I just got a new phone and haven't connected to my camera yet (no idiot drivers where i wanted to download the video LOL). Let me see what happens when I connect.

I'll have to be honest, you caught me at the start of a super busy weekend that includes a funeral, baseball tournament, concert, and college graduation, none of which are in the same town, so I won't be able to test this until at least Sunday. If no one has been able to help, give this a bump on Sunday morning to remind me.

I've got devices that will quite happily connect to WiFi that doesn't have Internet access, Huawei Mate 10 with Pie 9 and Samsung Galaxy S7 with Oreo 8. They show a notification about no network access, but they will stay connected, and can still have Internet via cellular data.

Could be something the manufacturer has done with the OnePlus?

For a OnePlus 5, switching it to a custom ROM maybe a fix.

I seem to remember seeing another post with same problem, about connecting a OnePlus to a drone with WiFi. And it disconnected because of no Internet access.

Ok ill keep that in my mind. To be honest, i havent ever really messed up with roms so im not comfortable starting with that one

Hey Lata, Did you ever solve you problem? I have the same issue on my one plus 7 pro.
