Help Can't write/delete content to sd card

I recently bought a memory card, put it in my phone..entered storage settings, and set the sd card to be the default storage.

I transfered some comics, music etc, no problem.
Then, after a day or two, I couldn't download anything from google chrome on the card, infinite 'download pending'.
I can't delete pictures from it, although I can view them.
I can't download whatsapp statuses (because it uses sd storage as cache for those images)

I restart the phone..it works, but the same issue happens in a few days.

is the card formatted? i would reformat it and see. also maybe hook the card to your pc and see if you have access. and out of curiosity what sd card did you buy?

OP, DON'T do this unless you're okay with losing everything you put on the card!

(Some people don't know that formatting wipes all your data. I thought it better to err on the side of caution than risk losing all your stuff.)

Try another card for a couple of days to see what happens.

Sounds like it's gone read only. Try it on another device or a computer. And if it's still read only, nothing can be stored. Backup the contents and try reformatting it. If it still fails, and if you've only recently bought it, return it as defective for replacement or refund

That's a good idea, I'll do that definetely..although I think I did do it when I bought it
It's transcend class 10 or 12 I believe

Good. But we didn't know that, so it's best not to assume. You'd be surprised at some of the things that some people who post here don't know .

Some people don't know, and for them it would be a shocking surprise to find all their data gone after a reformat.
