I think I am going a little crazy waiting for June 4th, so I have to wrap my brain around something I can do while I wait. This device will be used for work and home, so it will get a lot of use. I am new to android - moving from touch diamond- as well as the device, so the first thing I did was buy the wifey the hero, and had it upgraded to 2.1. She is happy, moving from a regular flip phone, and I get to set her phone up, and undergo the learning curve.

Below are my plans for the device:

1. Sync calender with exchange server. I would really like to pull this off, although I am looking to move away from exchange server for my small office, maybe to google or something else on the internet. I hate using a server and being dependent on someone to come fix it when it goes down. I have google calendar synced with exchange for the calendar portion, and it even syncs with my ical on my mac, which is sweet.

2. Use remember the milk for task management, which is very important for me. I use omnifocus for the mac and iphone, but it does me little good if my tasks aren't on my phone, and it sucks they only program for mac, so they will likely get the boot. I have already tried milk, and it is good enough for now.

3. Internet surfing. The hero is pretty good, and better than my diamond, so I am happy. I am wondering how much faster the 3g evo will be than the hero. Columbus Ohio isn't getting 4g for awhile.

3. Music. I am not in love with double twist, but it will suffice until I can find something else. Android needs something like itunes. However, if the sound quality hooked up in the car, or with headphones is decent, I will be happy.

Pandora worked well on a 2hr trip in ohio. There were a few dead spots, but it was nice. Love pandora.

4. Video. I have lots of movies given to me by a friend I put on my itouch and laptop. I hope they will play well on this phone. A good movie while I wait for something is nice. I like podcast videos. etc. Youtube on the hero is better with 2.1, but sound is an issue on some. I will have to figure it out. I can't imagine android not working well with youtube.

5. games - I am getting the racing game first. I hope it is nice. However, I will settle for less graphical games like paper toss. I like quick games i can play while I wait for my wife while she shops, a meeting, etc.

I also am watching the recommended apps on here for other things. I really want to do as much as I can with the phone.

There has been so many comments on the specs on the phone, I would like to here what you hope to use it for, please share:)

I am using it for my email, phone and general entertainment. I need to find some one near me with an EVO and some computer smarts to help me get some movies like The Bourne series and Pirates of the Caribbean as well as some animated kids movies. I would also like to get my itunes on the EVO.

Check out this site, just download and drag and drop to your EVO. I have used it numerous times on my Hero, works just fine.
