Hello,
I've been searching to find a simple (no code) app creator to enter data on an android phone, that can then be exported into an excel spreadsheet (or similar). Preferably free, or low cost (for personal use). I'm getting a bit lost in online searching so was hoping someone could please point me in the right direction.
Any advice appreciated, thanks

Welcome to Android Forums, Schlumpf!
I've been searching to find a simple (no code) app creator to enter data on an android phone, that can then be exported into an excel spreadsheet (or similar).
Rather than an app creator, would an actual app do? :)

I just did a quick search of the Play Store for 'data entry,' and found this app named Mobile Data Entry. I installed it and put it through its paces. I can confirm that it successfully does what you're looking for, up to and including exporting its data as a CSV file--which any spreadsheet should be able to import.

Its drawbacks are that it's very limited in certain areas. For example, there's a limit of 5 fields, and the data types are not comprehensive. I set one field type to date/time, only to find that I can't type in the field, but have to select from a drop-down list. That's easy to get around--just set it to text--but still.

So it definitely does what you need, but its limitations may make it unsuitable. I went to the developer's web site, and I think asking them to make some modifications may be feasible.

If you're interested in what else I found, here are my search results for 'data entry'.

Hi, thanks so much for your replies.
I am looking for a really easy and quick interface for others to use, which I'm not aware Google sheets provides.
The mobile data entry app sounds like a great idea, unfortunately it says not available in Australia, but it's given me something to search for here.
Greatly appreciate your help 🙂

You might want to contact the developer. As noted, it's everything you want, with some limitations. The developer may be willing to work directly with you, then send the app via email, Drive, Dropbox, etc.

I wonder why it's not available in Australia. There's nothing about its permissions that should send up any red flags. It's just a harmless data entry app.

I'd be happy to give you its APK file. (If this breaks forum rules, I'll redact that.) Of course, you don't know me from Adam, so I won't be offended if you don't want to install an app from a random stranger on the Internet! :D
Greatly appreciate your help
You're very welcome. :)

I think the app is only available to the U.S. and maybe U.K. Couldn't tell you why since that's at the devs discretion.
That's interesting. I thought Google had their fingers on it!

I can't think of a good reason the developer wouldn't authorize its use in Australia, but I guess they have their reasons. *shrug*
You can share free APKs. In fact, there's a website designed for this that downloads the free apk for you and allows you to download it from them. Totally legal and ethical.
Oh, I know free apps' APKs can be shared in general, but since this app is not authorized [by the dev, as I now know!] to be used in Australia, that's what my concern was about regarding AF's rules.

Since it's not on APKMirror (the only site I checked), I made its APK file with one of my file managers, and that's what I'm offering the OP.

Google allows you to choose what countries and/or devices to make your app available for.

Further looking at the app, it seems like it's to promote and establish her LLC (app uploaded under llc). Seems new and based in New York and is probably, for now, only seeking clients in the continental U.S. I'm thinking for now she'll keep her app for U.S. only.

Thanks. That's good to know.

Yeah, but in today's world, one's physical location doesn't limit them like in days gone by. She could easily work with global clients by making use of tools like Skype, Dropbox and email.

I don't know--if I was trying to get a company off the ground, I'd want to use all possible methods of attracting, and working with, clients.

She's a software developer. Sometimes you do need to meet with the clients. A client often wants you to see their company in person and a face to face helps secure a contract. She's also just starting her company and probably just wants to learn the ropes first and gain some experience before going global.

She's doing it right in my books.
